The preliminary exam of IBPS RRB 2018 for Officers post was conducted on August 11, 12, 18 while the exam for Office Assistant was held on August 19, 25 and September 1, 2018. A total of 10190 vacancies have been announced for the posts of Officers Scale I, II & III and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) in 56 Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). Each candidate has to obtain a minimum score in each stage of IBPS RRB 2018 to be shortlisted for provisional recruitment. Depending on the number of vacancies available in each state, candidates are shortlisted for provisional allotment/interview. IBPS has released the mains and final result for the post of Office Assistant and Officers Scale I, II and III on January 1, 2019. Candidates can check their IBPS RRB 2018 result till February 1 in online mode. To check and download the result, candidates need to enter their registration number/roll number and password/date of birth in the login window. The result of IBPS RRB mains exam was announced on October 15 in pdf format for Officers Scale I, II and III. IBPS RRB 2018 mains exam for Office Assistant was conducted on October 7 whereas for Officers Scale - I, the mains exam and Single exam for Scale II and III was conducted on September 30. The scorecard for prelims exam of Officer Scale I was released on September 18. The result of IBPS RRB for Officer Scale I and Office Assistant prelims exam was announced on September 7 and 14 respectively.

The examination authority issues the admit card in three phases – Preliminary, Mains/Single examination, and Interview. IBPS RRB interview admit card 2018 for Officers Scale I and II was available from October 30 to December 1 whereas the interview admit card for IBPS RRB Officers Scale III could be downloaded from October 30 to December 2. To download the IBPS RRB interview admit card for Office Assistant, candidates must use their registration/roll number and password/date of birth.
The application form of IBPS RRB 2018 was released on June 8, 2018, in the online mode. Candidates could submit their application form, pay their application fees and make changes in the particulars till July 2. The application fee for SC/ST/EXSM was Rs. 100 and Rs. 600 for all other categories. The IBPS RRB registration process included six steps as given below:
- Registration: Candidates had to click on 'New Registration' and personal details along with the number and email ID
- Uploading photograph, signature, thumb impression and a handwritten declaration: Candidates had to upload their scanned images of photograph, signature and thumb impression and a handwritten declaration.
- Entering personal details: Candidates had to enter all the personal details
- Preview of application form: Candidates could preview/edit application form before submission of all the details
- Payment of fees: Candidates could pay the requisite fee through net banking, Visa/MasterCard/Rupay Credit/Debit Card
- Printout of application: Candidates had to agree to the terms and condition and submit the application form and take a printout of e-receipt.
