PSTET Syllabus 2020: Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) releases the PSTET 2020 syllabus along with the detailed notification at www.pseb.ac.in. Candidates appearing for the eligibility test can go through the subject wise important concepts and topics through the syllabus of PSTET 2020. Aspirants can plan their studies and focus on topics with the help of PSTET syllabus 2020. Along with PSTET syllabus 2020, aspirants can also check the pattern and previous year question papers to get an idea about the difficulty level of the test, nature of questions asked and thus crack PSTET. The test of PSTET is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates as teachers from Class I to VIII in Government run schools of Punjab. Candidates who wish to apply for the post of teachers in government schools for classes I to V will have to appear for paper-I and those who wish to become teachers of class VI to VIII will have to take paper-II. Candidates can appear for both the papers of PSTET too.

PSTET Syllabus 2020

Candidates must get acquainted to PSTET syllabus 2020 to excel in the eligibility test and score maximum marks. As per the syllabus of PSTET 2020, there are five compulsory subjects in both the papers. Total marks allotted for each paper is 150. The test for each paper is held for one and half hour duration.

Child Development and Pedagogy

PSTET 2020 Syllabus Important Points

  • Questions on Child Development and Pedagogy, as per PSTET syllabus 2020 for paper I and paper II will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group 6-11 years and 11-14 years respectively.

  • Language I and Language II must be different languages.

  • Syllabus of PSTET 2020 will have questions in Language I for both papers on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction

  • Questions in Language II, according to the PSTET 2020 syllabus, in paper I and paper II will focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.

  • Questions for all the sections of both the papers as prescribed in PSTET syllabus 2020 will be evenly distributed over the entire syllabus of that particular subject specified for classes I-V or VI-VIII.

  • PSTET 2020 syllabus notifies that the difficulty level and linkages, however could be upto secondary stage for paper I.

PSTET Exam Pattern 2020

According to PSTET exam pattern 2020, all questions will be set in multiple choice questions (MCQs) with four alternatives for each answer. One mark is allotted to each correct answer in PSTET 2020 and no negative marks will be cut for the wrong answers marked. The question paper, as per the syllabus of PSTET, excluding the language paper will be set in english and the other one will be decided by the appropriate Government. There are two papers in PSTET.
Paper I: Aspirants intending to be a teacher in class I to V in Government run schools of Punjab
Paper II: Aspirants intending to be a teacher in class VI to VIII in Government run schools of Punjab
However PSTET application 2020 can also be filled by candidates who intend to apply for both the levels. These candidates will have to appear both paper I and paper II.
