How to Calculate Cut Off Marks for UGC NET 2025?

To calculate the UGC NET 2025 cut off, the National Testing Agency follows the following steps. The detailed procedure for the calculation of cut off marks of UGC NET 2025 is shared below:

Step 1: Total number of qualified candidates in the exam shall be equal to 6% of the candidates who appeared in both papers of the exam.

Step 2: Total number of slots allocated to candidates belonging to different categories as per the reservation policy of the Government of India.

Step 3: Minimum marks required by candidates to score to be considered for Junior Research Fellow and/or eligibility for Assistant Professor are mentioned in the table given below:

Step 5: Total number of slots available for awarding Junior Research Fellows is allocated among different categories as per reservation policy.

NTA guidelines on national level exams states that a candidate must have 2 passport size photographs that is there on their online application. The NTA (National Testing Agency) conducts UGC-NET Exam twice a year- June and December cycle and always open a correction window for those candidates who have filled any of their details incorrectly.
