SBI Clerk 2020 - State Bank of India (SBI) has released SBI Clerk 2020 notification on January 2, 2020 in online mode at sbi.co.in. As per official notification a total of 8000 vacancies are released for SBI Clerk recruitment 2020 out of them 7870 are for general recruitment while 130 are for special drive. Candidates can fill the application form of SBI Clerk 2020 from January 3 to 26 by visiting the official website. Applicants who are graduates between 20 to 28 years of age as on April 1, 2020 are eligible to fill SBI Clerk application form. SBI Clerk 2020 exam will be conducted at various centres 34 cities and UTs of the country. SBI Clerk exam is conducted in two stages - prelims and mains. Candidates qualifying in both the stages of SBI Clerk 2020 will be recruited at an SBI branch of the opted region as a Junior Associate/Clerk. SBI Clerk qualified candidates will get a starting basic pay of Rs. 13075.00 along with other allowances. SBI Clerk 2020 prelims exam is expected to be held in June 2020 in online mode. SBI Clerk Application Form 2020

Candidate can fill the application form of SBI Clerk 2020 from January 3 in online mode. Before filling the application form, candidates will have to keep certain with these are documents and particulars like scanned photograph, signature, valid email ID and active mobile number, bank details etc. Steps to fill the SBI clerk application form are:

Step 1 - Online Registration

The online registration is the first step in filling SBI Clerk application form. To register for SBI Clerk 2020, candidates must enter their name, email ID, date of birth and phone number etc. On successful registration, the system will generate a user ID and password which will be sent to the candidates through email and SMS.

Step 2 - Uploading of Photograph and Signature

In this stage, the screen will display all the details filled in the application form. Candidates must check that there are no mistakes. In case of error, they must make the required changes since no changes will be allowed after the final submission.

SBI Clerk Selection Procedure 2020

The exam of SBI Clerk is held in three stages – prelims, mains and local language test. Candidate qualifying in all the stages of SBI Clerk selection process will be shortlisted in the final merit list.

Stage 1

Preliminary Exam - The first stage in the selection process of SBI clerk is the prelims exam. On qualifying this stage, candidate will have to appear for the mains exam. However, prelims exam is just qualifying in nature and marks secured in this stage will not be considered while preparing the final merit list.

Stage 2

Mains Exam - Candidates qualifying the prelims will appear this next stage i.e the mains exam. This stage is very important since the final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured in mains exam. Thus, the mains qualified candidates will be recruited as Clerk at SBI.

Stage 3

Local Language Test - After the final merit list is out, candidates who have not studied the opted language in class 10 and 12 as per their documents produced will have to take the local language test. However, candidates who have studied the opted local language in class 10 and 12 will not have to appear for the language test. Candidates who are not found to be proficient in specified opted local language will be disqualified from the selection process.

All those candidates who are considered qualified will receive a basic pay of Rs. 11765. Along with the initial basic pay, candidates will also be paid various other allowances such as dearness allowance, travel allowance, house rent allowances etc. To know more about SBI Clerk salary 2020, go through the table below.

SBI Clerk 2020 Growth Opportunities

After three years of working at SBI as Junior Associates/Clerks, the employee becomes eligible for being promoted to Trainee Officers. However, to be promoted candidates will have to qualify the written test and interview. All those who qualify the exam will have to complete two years of probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, the trainee officer based on performance will be recruited into MMGS-II cadre or sent back to clerical cadre post.

The age eligibility qualification for SBI clerk are as follows, Candidate should Not be below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01.01.2020, i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1992 and not later than 01.01.2000 (both days inclusive).I regret to inform you this but you are not eligible

The minimum age required is 20 years and the candidate's age should not be more than 28 years as April 1, 2020.
However there is an age relaxation of 5 years for those who belong to SC & ST category, 3 years to ODC & 10 years to PWD in case of general, 15 years to PWD in case of SC & ST and 13 years to PWD in case of OBC.

Sorry to inform you that you are not eligible for SBI Clerk Exam 2020.As per the SBI Clerk exam eligibility,a candidate age should be of 20-28 years as on January 1st,2020.Also the maximum age for exam is 28 years for General Category,which is 31 years for OBC and 33 for SC/ST category.

So you can appear for the exam next year.

Yes you can fill the application form of SBI because the age limit to apply for SBI Clerk is 20- 28 years. Only those candidates who successfully fill the application form will receive SBI Clerk admit card tentatively by Feb 10.

It is to be noted that SBI Clerk recruitment process involves two stages- prelims and mains.
