(a) Points to note

The Paper in Tier-II will have to be written either in Hindi or in English but not a mix of both. So, candidates must write only in English or Hindi to avoid getting zero marks. The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II is 33 per cent.

(a) Skill Test for Data Entry Operators

• It is a mandatory test

• It will be conducted on a passage of 2000-2200 key depressions for a duration of 15 minutes.

• For the post of Data Entry Operator Grade ‘A’ in the Office of the (C&AGI): It will be 3700-4000 key-depressions in 15 minutes.

(b) Typing Test for LDC/ JSA and Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant

Candidates must opt either Hindi or English medium for typing test:

1. English Medium: Typing speed of 35 words per minute i.e. 175 key depressions per minute (10500 key depressions per hour).

2. Hindi Medium: Typing speed of 30 words per minute i.e. 150 key depressions per minute (9000 key depressions per hour).

3. The speed will be adjudged on: the accuracy of typing on the computer of a given text passage in 10 minutes (15 minutes for scribe candidates).

(a) How to Manage Reading Speed: This is important as the syllabus is vast, so you need speed to cover it all. Some habits to prod you in the right direction:

• Ability to concentrate and focus on the content.

• Avoiding rereading and moving on to new topics once done.

1. Educational Qualification:
   For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): Candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
   For Data Entry Operator (DEOGrade ‘A’) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

2. Reservation: for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, Ex-Servicemen (ESM) & PwD as per government guidelines.
