The last date to fill RBI Officer Grade B 2018 application form, pay the fee and make corrections was July 23. However, candidates could print the RBI Officer Grade B application form 2018 till August 7. Candidates could fill RBI Officer Grade B application form for General, Department of Economics and Policy Research (DEPR) and Department of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM). Pre-Requisites for filling RBI Grade B Application Form 2018

  • Scanned photograph and signature – Candidates should keep the scanned photograph and signature of the given specifications.

  • Bank account details – Documents should be kept ready to make online payment of the requisite application fee/intimation charges

The detailed application process is explained below:


1. Online registration and filling up of basic details

  • Click on the application link above

  • Select ‘Click here for new registration’ to register online

  • Candidates had to enter basic details such as name, email ID, contact number, etc.

  • Candidates must now click on Save and Next button

A registration number and password was generated and displayed on the screen. Candidates must note down the registration id and password as it was required to fill the remaining part of RBI Officer Grade B application form.

2. Upload scanned images of photograph and signature

In this step, candidates must upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature in the application form. The detailed specification for images are given below:

  • Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch).

  • Set Colour to True Colour.

  • Resolution 200 x 230 pixels (preferred).

  • Size of file for photograph should be between 20KB-50KB.

  • Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50KB.

  • If the size of the file is more than 50KB, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as the DPI resolution, no. of colours, etc., during the process of scanning.

  • Resolution 140 x 60 pixels (preferred).

  • Size of file for signature should be between 10KB - 20KB.

  • Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20KB.

  • Crop the image of the signature in the scanner to the edge of the signature, then

  • use the upload editor to crop the image to the final size (as specified above)

Guidelines for uploading photograph and signature


Photograph Details

  • Recent passport size photograph, clicked against a light-colored, (preferably white) background

  • If the picture is taken on a sunny day, the sun should be behind the applicant, or he/she should get clicked in the shade so that they are not squinting and there are no harsh shadows

  • If flash has to be used while clicking the pictures, ensure there is no “red-eye”

  • If the candidates are wearing glasses then they should ensure that there is no reflection and his/her eyes are clearly visible

  • Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover the face of the applicant

Signature Details

  • Candidates should sign on a white paper with a black pen in a box of 2 cm X 5 cm

  • The signature must be done by the candidate and not any other person

  • The applicant’s signature obtained on the admission letter and attendance sheet at the time of RBI Officer Grade B exam should match with the uploaded signature. Candidates will be disqualified if there is a mismatch

3. Filling up personal details

Candidates are required to enter all personal and educational details such as graduation, high school.,etc, domicile, category, nationality, state details.

4. Preview of RBI Officer Grade B 2018 Application Form


In this step, candidates must click on the ‘Preview Tab’ to preview and verify the entire application form before final submission. If any changes were required candidates must modify/edit and click on 'Final Submit' after verifying and ensuring that all details filled are correct.

Details like the name of the candidates, parent’s name should be entered as mentioned in the matriculation/birth certificate. Any change/modification will lead to disqualification.

5. Payment of RBI Officer Grade B Application Fees

After submission of the RBI Officer Grade B application form, candidates had to pay the application fees in the online mode only

  • Applicants had to take a print out of the payment receipt and the application form. If the print out cannot be generated, online transaction may not have been successful

  • The charges of application fees would be listed in Indian Rupee. For international applicants, the bank would convert to your local currency based on prevailing exchange rates

  • To ensure safety and security of your data, candidates were requested to close the browser window after the transaction is completed

  • In case of invalid applications due to errors committed by the applicant no claims for refund of application fees/intimation charges so collected shall be entertained by the Board

  • To avoid last minute rush, candidates were advised to pay the application fees/ intimation charges and register online at the earliest.

Q. What should I do if there is a lot of delay in accessing the page?

Ans: Based on various factors like internet speed, a large number of applicants trying to register the application at the same time etc., there can be a delay. In such a case, candidates must retry after some time gap or during off-peak hours, especially during the night.

Q. How do I know that I am registered successfully?

Ans: Successful registration is indicated by the Page displayed after clicking the Submit Button indicating the generated registration number and password. Please note down the same care and preserve it. If you do not preserve it, you will not be able to Re-Print the Application and download the Call Letter.

Q. I did not receive the email intimation for registration of my RBI Officer Grade B application form?

Ans: Registration number and password are also sent by auto-response Confirmation emails. Check spam emails if you did not receive any email regarding the registration process.

Q. How do I re-confirm that my application is saved?

Ans: Candidates are advised to visit the Page for re-print of application, generate the Printout and preserve the soft copy and hard copy (printout) of the application.

Q. I got blank/zero registration number after submission of RBI Grade B Officer application form. What should I do?

Ans: In case candidates have got Zero (0) registration number with a valid password. Candidates are advised to re-register the application and check the printout through re-print application.

Q. After filling up the application form, I got Blank Screen / Internet got disconnected / My PC closed/hanged / shutdown. Is my application saved/registered?

Ans: If any of the above happens to try re-print option if your application is not saved then re-apply.

Q. What details should I retain while replying to auto-response emails?

Ans: Candidates must reply back the confirmation emails for the genuine problem, please retain details on the email registration number and password.
