Hi Koena,
Greetings of the day!
The most important thing to understand is whether you are interested or not. Studying for getting good results will motivate the individual but the procedure is somehow difficult for many. So I would suggest you follow these steps for acing the exam.
- Make a fixed timetable with all standard books required for UPSC.
- Stick to the timetable and follow by heart.
- Daily read newspapers and practise various types of questions for a better understanding of concepts.
- Read the topics daily in the morning Jn which you are lagging.
- Strengthen your foundation and write the answers with accuracy and good handwriting.
- Solve the questions within the time limit as it will help you in competing in the examination.
- Study daily for 7-8 hours and gradually increase when the examination is near.
Motivate yourself and Practice meditation. Also, eat healthy to stay fit and fine.
