UGC NET exams for June session have commenced today, August 21, 2024 in online mode. Candidates can check the UGC NET 2024 exam day guidelines here while appearing for the NET exam. UGC NET 2024 Exam Day Guidelines
The exam conducting authorities provide the UGC NET exam day guidelines 2024 in the information brochure on the official website. UGC NET exam day guidelines will also be prescribed in the admit card. Applicants must follow the UGC NET exam day guidelines at exam centres. Some of the UGC NET guidelines for the UGC NET exam are given below:
Candidates appearing for the exam are advised to reach their exam centre at least one hour before the entry starts.
It is a must to carry your UGC NET admit card on the day of the exam. Students must note that no candidate will be allowed to get entry inside the examination hall without producing their admit card. Along with the admit card, candidates must also carry a valid Photo Identity proof for verification purposes.

If any candidate is found to have COVID-19 symptoms he/she will not be allowed to attempt the exam.
UGC NET Exam Day Guidelines 2024 - Reporting Time
As per the UGC NET exam day guidelines, they should follow the timing.
Applicants will not be allowed inside the examination center after 8.30 am in the first shift and 2.30 pm in the second shift.
Candidates should reach the examination hall at the examination centers at 8.45 am in the first shift and 2.45 pm in the second shift.
UGC NET 2024 Exam Pattern
The National Testing Agency conducts the NET exam 2024 in online mode. There were two papers in UGC NET - Paper 1 and Paper 2. The exam pattern of UGC NET 2024 specified the type of questions asked in the exam, the marking scheme, the total number of questions asked in the exam, and more. The National Testing Agency releases the UGC NET 2024 admit card in online mode. The admit card of UGC NET was released on the official website. Students must note that the admit card is a mandatory document that every student needs to carry to get entry into the exam hall. The UGC admit card 2024 includes important details like the name of the candidate, date of exam, address of the exam centre and more. The steps to download UGC NET admit card 2024 are given below:
Open the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.ac.in
Now click on the “UGC NET admit card link.
Login to the admit card portal using your application number, date of birth and captcha code.
Upon successful login, the UGC NET admit card will appear on the screen.
Download and take a print of the admit card for future use.

Hello there,
It is important to carry all the documents that you have been told to bring on your exam day. Every piece of document in the exam hall matters. NTA guidelines on national level exams states that a candidate must have 2 passport size photographs that is there on their online application. This is solely because the purpose of identification of a candidate. One photograph will be pasted on attendance sheet. You need to carry what else is the guidelines to avoid any issue in exam hall.

Hello there,
If you have mistakenly clicked on the wrong gender, you need not to be worried. The NTA (National Testing Agency) conducts UGC-NET Exam twice a year- June and December cycle and always open a correction window for those candidates who have filled any of their details incorrectly. This correction window will give you a chance to correct your mistakes in the application form. But, it is very important to know that this correction window may be or may not be opened for a longer period of time. like for a week or so.
