How to Crack the LIC ADO Exam 2021? - LIC AAO is the central level recruitment exam conducted by Life Insurance Corporation of India for the post of Apprentice Development Officer (ADO). Every year lakhs of aspirants aim to be LIC ADO, however, one point that confuses them is how to crack the LIC ADO exam 2021.
While planning for LIC ADO preparation, aspirants are advised first to go through the LIC ADO exam pattern to understand the LIC ADO marking scheme, important sections and other important aspects. According to the LIC ADO preparation tips, time management, practice and revision are some of the important points that need to be followed. Some important points to note:
ü It is a computer-based online exam.
ü It consists of objective type, multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
ü The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for the English Language.
ü The test will have three sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

Note**: English Language Test will be of qualifying nature and the marks in the English Language will not be counted for ranking.
Some important points to note:
· The Main exam is conducted for Open Market, Agents, and Employees categories candidates separately.
· Selection of Apprentice Development Officer from Agents & Employee Category will be done through single-phase examination i.e. Main Examination.
· The Main examination will consist of objective tests for 150 marks and will be conducted online.
· Candidates MUST obtain minimum qualifying marks in each Section separately and should also obtain minimum marks in the aggregate to qualify for the examinations (Preliminary and Main) and the interview. The minimum marks to be obtained in each paper and the aggregate shall be decided by the LIC of India. The Corporation reserves the right to fix the minimum eligibility standard to restrict the number of candidates to be called for the Online Test and/or Interview, commensurate with the number of vacancies. The decision of the Corporation in this regard shall be final and binding on the candidates.

As per the LIC ADO preparation strategy, the Reasoning Ability section of the LIC ADO exam is included in Prelims, and Main exams of all the three categories of candidates i.e. Open, Agents, and employees. This section requires tricks and practice to solve questions fast. Aspirants should emphasize practicing puzzles, seating arrangement, coding-decoding, syllogism, Inequality, etc. as more questions are from the topics. During the LIC ADO preparation, candidates must keep in mind that the english Language paper in LIC ADO Prelims is of qualifying nature and its marks will not be included in either merit or ranking preparation. Clearing concepts about basic terms and principles used in insurance like term insurance, endowment plan, ULIP, Utmost good faith, Indemnity, etc.

Interview is the final phase of the recruitment process for the selection of candidates in the LIC ADO exam. Marks of the Main Exam only will be considered for shortlisting for interview and marks of the Main Exam + marks of the Interview will be considered for the final merit listing of candidates. Maximum Interview marks are 37. To secure good marks in the Interview the following strategy and tips will be helpful:
First of all, going through the previous Interview Boards questions asked to candidates will help to be familiar with the trends and nature of questions.

First divide the areas from which members of the interview board ask questions like personal information, like a hobby, career objective or goal, general knowledge & current affairs especially from insurance & banking sector, LIC related: IRDA/Insurance plan/principles, etc. and knowledge related to banking like RBI, its financial policies, etc. and prepare accordingly.
(a) Setting up LIC ADO as a Career Goal: Setting goals and executing in a planned way is the right approach in itself for success. (a) Managing Reading Speed during the study: Reading speed matters in the preparation of any exam especially competitive like LIC ADO as the syllabus is vast. Candidates should inculcate habits that nudge in this direction and help improve their reading speed. Some tips in this directions are:
● concentrating and giving focus on the content while reading.
● Avoid re-reading of studied matter due to uncertainty and move on to new topics once the present one is done.
● Reading with a timer helps in testing reading time and see to improve it. Fix time slots for particular sections and topics and try to cover them then.

(b) Creating Own Study Timetable for LIC ADO Preparation?
A timetable belonging to oneself is practically helpful in adhering to its schedules set before. For this, divide the syllabus into Phase-I (Prelims) and Phase –II (Main), then subjects and chapters/topics into readable portions. Next divide the entire preparation period into months, weeks, days, and hours. Put the chapters subject-wise in the slots in the timetable with revision slots too. Ensure that the entire syllabus is covered with proper revision before the exam date. Revision is best done every day, then every week, every month, and every third month. (c) Fixing Revision Schedule for LIC ADO Preparation?

• Age Limit: The candidate must be 21 Years to 30 Years as on 01.04.2020 i.e. candidates must have been born between 02.04.1990 and 01.04.1999 (both dates inclusive)
• Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the Final year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they must produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 01.07.2020. Candidates with Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate must ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.08.2020. Candidates with Chartered Accountant certification may also apply.
SBI PO Selection Procedure: Important Points
The candidates should keep in mind the following points related to the SBI PO selection process:
• Biometric Verification: To ensure an error-free and secure selection procedure for SBI PO 2020, the bank may digitally capture the thumb impression of the candidate. This is done to verify the genuineness of the candidates. Any inconsistency in the biometric verification will lead to rejection of the candidature and punitive legal actions. Candidates are thus advised not to apply any kind of external matter like ink, mehandi, chemical etc. on their hands.
• Number of Attempts: The maximum number of chances are fixed for each category. Candidates who have used up all the chances are not eligible to apply. Appearing in Preliminary Exam is not counted as an attempt but appearing in Mains Exam is counted.

For General Category ,the cut-off marks is around 55-60 in the east zone for the lic ado mains.This cut-off marks are according to the previous data of lic ado mains.
