About APPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2023

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) conducts APPSC Assistant Professor exam for selection of Assistant Professor designation in various universities. The exam is conducted in two phases, Phase I and Phase II. Phase I acts as the screening test and phase II is the final exam. In order to apply, candidates will have to enter their details and other required attachments online then submit the form along with the required fee. After the online process has concluded, aspirants will have to take the print out of final application form and acknowledgement of the Registration fee and submit it offline to the Registrar Offices of specified universities/colleges.

APPSC Assistant Professor Phase II exam will have a total of 180 objective type questions which will include multiple choice questions, matching type questions, true/false questions and assertion-reasoning type questions. This paper will carry 180 marks and the candidates have to attempt the exam in 3 hours. Each question in phase II will carry 1 mark and there will be a negative marking of 0.3 marks for wrong answers.

APPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for APPSC Assistant professor are the minimum educational qualification an applicant must have in order to be eligible to apply for the post. The eligibility criteria of APPSC Assistant Professor is given below:

  • Applicant must have at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's Degree level in the relevant subject.
  • Applicant must have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or any similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET or SET.
  • NET, SLET or SET will not be required for Masters Programmes in subjects for which the exams not conducted.
