Staff Selection Commission will soon release the SSC JE result 2024 in the official website. The Commission had deactivated the SSC JE 2024 answer key challenge facility on June 15, 2024 after activating it on June 12, 2024. The Commission released the provisional SSC JE answer key 2024 for Paper 1 on June 12 on the official website. The Commission conducted the SSC JE exam 2024 for paper 1 from June 5 to 7, 2024 across the country. SSC JE exam for paper 1 was conducted in online mode. The SSC JE 2024 application correction window was activated from April 22 & 23, 2024. Staff Selection Commission released the SSC JE notification online on March 28, 2024.

The Staff Selection Commission prescribed SSC JE 2024 eligibility criteria in the official notification. The eligibility criteria of SSC JE 2024 consist of nationality, age limit and education qualification. The post-wise age limit is detailed in the SSC JE eligibility criteria 2024.

SSC JE Application Form 2024
The SSC JE 2024 application form correction window was opened from April 22 - 23, 2024. Staff Selection Commission closed the SSC JE 2024 application portal on April 18, 2024. The commission had released the SSC JE 2024 application form online on March 28 at ssc.gov.in. Candidates who wished to appear for the exam had to apply using SSC JE application form 2024 on their official website. To fill out the application form of SSC JE 2024, candidates needed to register first by entering their personal details like name, date of birth and mobile number.
After filling out the SSC JE application, candidates needed to pay the application fee. General and OBC candidates have to pay Rs 100 while SSC/ST and others are exempted from paying the application fee. Candidates could pay the application fee online as well as offline. Either they can pay with a debit card/credit card/UPI/net banking or bank challan.
How to Apply for SSC JE 2024 Application Form?
Candidates must follow the below points to fill SSC JE application form 2024.
Visit the official website of SSC - ssc.gov.in.
The registration link will be displayed in the new tab.
Tap on Login/Register Now link.
To fill SSc JE application, candidates have to provide some personal details like name, parents' name, date of birth, mobile number, email address, etc.
Tap on the Submit button to successfully submit the application form of SSC JE 2024. Before submission, aspirants have to verify their entered details. All applicants will be provided with a Registration Id, date of birth/password.
Now, aspirants need to upload photographs and signatures in the prescribed size.
Now, log in with your registered ID and password to complete Part 2 of the registration form of SSC JE 2024.
After filling out the application form, review it once before submission. Once submitted won’t be allowed for editing again.
Now, tap on the Final Submit button after previewing the complete SSC JE application form 2024 and pay the required application fees.
Download and take two or three prints out for future reference.
SSC JE Exam Pattern 2024
The exam conducting authority mentioned SSC JE 2024 exam pattern in the official notification. As per the SSC JE exam pattern, Paper 1 contains objective-type questions. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted and 1 mark is awarded for each correct answer. SSC JE paper 1 is conducted for 2 hours carrying a total of 200 marks.

Yes ECE graduates are eligible to apply for the post of electrical engineer post in all government departments but they should clear the competitive exam held by the department.
Even in PWD many Electronics engineers are working as Electrical & Mechanical Junior Engineer . Subjects of ECE and Electrical engineering is almost the same but ECE has more complex subjects than electrical engineering.

Since you have registered yourself with a changed name, your new name will be visible on the admit card. But keep in mind that your name has to be the same on your official government documents. Else it can create unnecessary problems during the further procedure of examination.

The education qualification requirements for SSC Junior Engineer is different for each post. As per the SSC JE 2022 Eligibility criteria the candidates who have passed 4 year B. Tech in Civil Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering and 3 year Diploma in Civil Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering are eligible to apply for various posts which will be specified in the SSC JE Notification. As you have graduated or pursuing Electronics and Communication Engineering you are not eligible to apply for SSC JE. hope you are doing good.
you can change your branch in engineering through lateral entry.
EE :
EE is a core branch.
placements for this branch in India are in public sector. If you want to get job opportunities in core electrical companies like NTPC you need to crack GATE exam.
it is also called as most competitive branch
ECE :
ECE is not a core branch.
you need not to crack any GATE exam, as there are lot of opportunities for ECE in software field.
students of ECE are also eligible to work in Software industry.
there are lot of opportunities in private sector.
I suggest you to think twice before taking a decision to change from ECE to EE
