 Below is the detailed explanation of SBI PO 2017 Mains exam:

 SBI PO Mains Exam Analysis by T.I.M.E - Quantitative Aptitude:

  • This section can be rated as moderate-difficult and time-consuming.

  • There was variable marking scheme, similar to last year. Questions on Data Comparision (5Qs) and one set of DI - 5Qs (based on Marked price and Discount) carried one mark each and the rest of the questions were of 2 marks each.

  • There were 3 DI sets (details are given in the table below). All these sets were difficult and time-consuming.

  • There were 5 questions each on Data Sufficiency, Data Comparision and Probability. The difficulty level of these question types can be pegged between moderate and difficult. There was one set of 2-3 questions on Mixtures-Alligations.

SBI PO Mains Exam Analysis by T.I.M.E - General Awareness:

As reported by students, about half of the questions were asked on Current Affairs and the remaining on Banking Awareness and Union Budget.

 

SBI PO Mains Exam Analysis by T.I.M.E - Descriptive Test:

This section carried Letter and Essay writing. There were three letters given and the candidate had to write a letter from among them. Among 3 essays given, one had to be chosen by the test-taker. What was noteworthy was that both the letter and essay were to be written in 150 words each.

Letter writing 

This section included 20 Marks and the questions asked in the exam are as follows:

  • A letter to be written to your branch manager that you have deposited money in your account through ATM but the amount has not been credited into your account.

  • A letter to be written to the editor expressing your concern over the impact of news through social media.

  • A letter to be written to your sibling giving him / her advice about issues related to stress and anxiety.

Essay writing

This section included 30 Marks, 150 words. Candidates had to write an essay on the following topics:

  • Write an essay on the impacts of technology.

  • Travelling teaches us more compared to books and documentary. Please elaborate this in an essay written in support of this statement.

  • Effects of social media.

 

SBI PO Cut Off 2018

State Bank of India (SBI) will declare the SBI PO Cut off for mains exam after the declaration of the mains result. SBI has declared SBI PO prelims cut off along with the scorecard. This year, examination authority has released the category-wise cutoff of SBI PO 2018 but the sectional cut off has not been released yet. The cut off of SBI PO prelims was declared on July 18. The final cutoff of SBI PO is declared after normalizing the scores of written exam (Objective and Descriptive) and Group Exercises & Interview. The marks secured by the candidates in the written test is converted to 75 out of total 250 marks while the marks secured in Group Exercises & Interview is converted to 25 out of total 50 marks.

 

SBI PO Result 2018

State Bank of India (SBI) will declare the SBI PO mains result on August 20. SBI PO 2018 result for a preliminary examination was declared on July 16. The result of SBI PO mains exam will be declared in pdf format. The scorecard of SBI PO mains 2018 will be available online and candidates can check SBI PO mains marks by entering registration number/roll number and date of birth and password.
