RBI Assistant 2018 - Reserve Bank of India conducts recruitment exam for the post of Assistant in RBIs. The exam is conducted for around 623 posts of Assistant in various offices of the Bank. The RBI Assistant exam comprises of 5 sections - Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Ability, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. The final selection will be made on overall performance of candidates in main examination and Language Proficiency test. Selected candidates draw a starting basic pay of Rs 14650 per month i.e Rs 13150 plus two advance increments and other allowances. At present, the initial salary for Assistants is approximately Rs. 32528.

RBI Assistant Selection Procedure 2018

 

Candidates will be selected for the post of Assistants based on the performance in mains examination and Language Proficiency test. RBI Assistant Selection Procedure includes – applying for exam, appearing for online exam followed by Language Proficiency test, reservation requirements, medical fitness and document verification. The final selection of candidates will be done as per candidates rank in the merit list. The stages of RBI Assistant 2018 selection procedure will be as given below:

RBI Assistant 2018 Eligibility

 

RBI prescribes RBI Assistant eligibility requirements such as age, educational qualification, number of attempts, nationality which is necessary to be eligible for the recruitment process. Candidates who aspire to appear for RBI Assistant 2018 should read the details given below before filling the application form.

 

Age Limit:

Candidates must be between 20 and 28 years. Candidates must have been born not earlier than October 2, 1989 and not later than October 1, 1987 (both days including) are only eligible to apply for RBI Assistant 2018.

 

Educational Qualification:

  • A candidate belonging to Ex-servicemen category (except dependents of ex-servicemen) should either be a graduate from a recognized University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defence service.

  • Candidates applying for post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language (i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the recruiting office.

The date of passing eligibility will be the date appearing on the mark sheet or provisional certificate issued by the University/ Institute. If case the result of a particular examination is posted on the website of the University/ Institute, a certificate issued by the appropriate authority of the University/ Institute indicating the date on which the result was posted on the website will be taken as the date of passing.

RBI Assistant call letters will be available online for both preliminary as well as mains exam. To download candidates have to enter registration number/roll number and password/date of birth. RBI Assistant Cut Off 2018

 

RBI releases the cut off of RBI Assistant along with the declaration of the result. The cut off is the minimum marks required to be eligible for next round of selection process. Candidates have to secure centre-wise/category-wise and sectional cutoff to qualify each stage of selection. On the basis of the cutoff score of each stage the result will be declared by RBI.

 

RBI Assistant Result 2018

 

The result of RBI Assistant is declared in three phases – Prelims, mains and Language Proficiency test. RBI will release the result for each phases in online mode. Based on RBI Assistant result 2018 for prelims candidates will be called for next phase of selection process. Candidates can check their results roll number/registration number and password/date of birth. The scores obtained by candidates in preliminary and mains examination will be normalized for each sessions. The RBI Assistant result for prelims and mains will be announced based on the normalized scores. Candidates need to secure both overall and sectional qualifying marks in both prelims and mains exam. Those qualifying the mains examination will be called for Language Proficiency test. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of candidates performance in mains exam and Language Proficiency test.

 

RBI Assistant Pay Scale

  • Assistants will draw a starting basic pay of Rs. 14650 per month (i.e. Rs. 13150 plus two advance increments admissible to graduates) in the scale of 13150-750 (3)-15400- 900(4) -19000-1200(6)-26200-1300 (2)-28800- 1480(3) – 33240 – 1750 (1)- 34990 (20 years)

  • Other allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc. will be given from time to time.

  • At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments for Assistants is approximately Rs. 32528 including House Rent Allowance of 15%

Minimum qualifications for RBI exam

Hi Mahendra,

For RBI Assistant Exam, you need to be between 20 to 28 years of age pls should be a graduate in any discipline with 50% marks. For reserved categories (SC/ST/PWD candidates), they just need to pass graduation in any discipline. Knowledge of word processing on PC is required too.

Candidates applying for post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language (to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the recruiting office.

On average total of 5.5lakh candidates appear for RBI Assistant examination however this will vary for all states as som emight have more and some might have fewer students.
