CSIR UGC NET 2024-25 - National Testing Agency will release the CSIR NET 2024 answer key for December session online soon on the official website. NTA conducted the CSIR NET December exam 2024-25 from February 28, to March 2, 2025. Earlier, the CSIR UGC NET admit card 2025 was released on February 25, 2025 in online mode at csirnet.nta.ac.in. The CSIR NET 2025 city intimation slip was released on February 19, 2025. The CSIR NET application correction window 2025 was activated on January 4, & 5, 2025. Candidates were able to pay the CSIR NET application fee until January 3, 2025.

The CSIR NET application form was activated from December 9, 2024 to January 2, 2025. The application form for the December session was released along with the official CSIR NET 2025 notification. Candidates who wish to appear for the CSIR NET 2025 exam are advised to check the eligibility criteria before proceeding with the application form. NTA also mentioned the CSIR NET exam dates 2025 for the December session in the official notification. Candidates who successfully fill out the CSIR NET application form will be issued the admit card.
The CSIR UGC NET 2025 exam will be conducted for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship (NET). CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria 2025
The National Testing Agency prescribed CSIR NET 2025 eligibility criteria in the official notification. CSIR NET eligibility criteria 2025 consists of age limit, nationality and educational qualification. Candidates can apply for CSIR NET exam if they are of 30 years of age, an Indian citizen and have passed post-graduation from any recognized University. General category aspirants must have 55% of aggregate marks whole reserved categories must have 50% of aggregate marks to fill up the CSIR NET application form 2025. However, age relaxation is provided to reserved category applicants only.
CSIR NET Application Form 2025
The CSIR NET application correction window was activated on January 4 & 5, 2025 on the official website. Candidates who are going to appear in the exam can fill CSIR NET application form 2025 from December 9, 2024 to January 2, 2025 (extended date). CSIR NET application process includes registration, uploading of photograph and signature, filling up all details in the online application form, application fee payment, application preview and printout of acknowledgement form.
Before submitting the CSIR NET application form, candidates had to pay application fees online by using Debit/Credit Cards/ and Internet Banking. General Category applicants had to pay Rs 1,150, OBC-Non Creamy layer needs to pay Rs 600 and SC/ST/PWD had to pay Rs 325.
How to Fill CSIR NET 2025 Application Form?
Visit the official website - csirnet.nta.ac.in
Tap on the link “Fill online CSIR NET Application Form 2025” on the Homepage.
If you are a new applicant, tap on the “New Registration” option.
A new page will be displayed, click on the check box and then tap on the “Click Here to Proceed” option.
Now, in the CSIR NET application form, enter your personal details.
Then, click on the checklists provided along with the declaration form. Tap on Final Submit.
Then, confirm the Registration by clicking on Yes in the dialogue box displayed on the screen.
The application number is generated and will appear on the screen.
Now, click on the “Complete Application” option.
Then, verify your mobile number and email address.
Now, enter the required details like post applied for, centre choice, subject choice, and more in the new tab.
Enter the security key and tap on Submit button.
After submitting the application form by clicking on Final Submit, upload a scanned signature and photograph in the prescribed format.
Before final submission, pay the application fees.
Download, save and take two or three prints out of the acknowledgement form.

CSIR NET Syllabus 2025
The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) prescribes CSIR NET 2025 syllabus in its official website - csirnet.nta.ac.in. CSIR NET syllabus 2025 covers important topics from all five subjects like Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences and Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences. Candidates can prepare well by these topics given in the syllabus of CSIR NET 2025. Aspirants can prepare and plan a study schedule to cover the complete CSIR NET syllabus so that they won’t miss any crucial topics.
CSIR NET Exam Pattern 2025
The exam conducting authority prescribes CSIR NET 2025 exam pattern in the official notification. CSIR NET exam pattern 2025 includes a marking scheme, sections, number of questions, etc. Along with the exam pattern, aspirants could also check CSIR NET syllabus to get an idea of topics from where questions will be asked. CSIR NET 2025 exam will be conducted in online mode (Computer Based Test).
There were three sections in each subject i.e., Part A, Part B and Part C. The total number of questions will be 610 out of which 310 need to be attempted by candidates in all five subjects of CSIR NET 2025. There will be negative marking in Part A, Part B and Part C sections of each CSIR NET 2025 exam subject. The CSIR NET exam 2025 is conducted in two languages i.e., English and Hindi.
CSIR UGC NET Admit Card 2025
National Testing Agency started to issue the CSIR NET 2025 admit card from February 25, 2025 on the official website. The admit card of CSIR NET 2025 was released at csirnet.nta.ac.in. Candidates who are appearing for the examination can download their CSIR NET admit card by using their application number and date of birth/password. CSIR NET 2025 hall ticket includes the candidate’s name, roll number, exact exam date, exam venue, exam timing, etc.
CSIR NET Exam Centres 2025
CSIR NET 2025 exam centres are provided in the official notification by the exam conducting authority. CSIR NET exam 2025 will be conducted in different cities of Indian states. Candidates will get the exact exam centres detail in the CSIR NET admit card 2025. CSIR NET is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidate for JRF/Assistant Professor or Lectureship, it is conducted for three hours for 200 marks, there are three parts; part A is common to all subjects for general aptitude carrying 15 questions for two marks, total marks allotted is 30 marks, part B is subject related conventional MCQs for 70 marks with question range of 20-35, part C has been allotted 100 marks to test scientific concepts and its application. there is negative marking of 25% for each wrong answer, check out our page at https://competition.careers360.com/articles/csir-ugc-net-exam-dates to know more details regarding this.

CSIR UGC NET conducts the exam every year for LS and JRF program.
Candidates can either apply for LS or JRF. They cannot apply for both.
CSIR UGC NET assembles the merit list to assign Lectureship and JRF to the meritorious candidates.
Candidates who qualify for the cut-off for the lectureship program can apply for the post of assistant professor in different universities and colleges. Still, they will not be eligible for the regular Junior research fellowship program.
Prospects who qualify for the NET-JRF exam will get a chance to kickstart their higher education and research in their desired subject or specialization.
If you have applied for JRF :-
1) clear the qualifying cut off then you will be eligible for LS also.
2) do not clear the cut off for JRF you will not be eligible for LS.
