SSC CGL 2024 syllabus - Tier 2

Tier 2 is the second stage of the SSC CGL selection process. Aspirants who successfully qualified in Tier 1 are eligible to appear in the Tier 2 exam. Basics of networking and cyber security: Networking devices and protocols, Network and information security threats (like hacking, virus, worms, Trojans etc.) and preventive measures.

Collection, Classification and Presentation of Statistical Data: Primary and Secondary data, Methods of data collection; Tabulation of data; Graphs and charts; Frequency distributions; Diagrammatic presentation of frequency distributions.

Measures of Central Tendency- Common measures of central tendency – mean median and mode; Partition values- quartiles, deciles, percentiles.

Measures of Dispersion- Common measures dispersion – range, quartile deviations, mean deviation and standard deviation; Measures of relative dispersion.

Moments, Skewness and Kurtosis – Different types of moments and their relationship; meaning of skewness and kurtosis; different measures of skewness and kurtosis.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2024

SSC provides the SSC CGL exam pattern in the official notification. According to the exam pattern, the exam is conducted in four tiers, two tiers in computer-based tests followed by the third which is a descriptive test and the fourth which is a skill test. The exam pattern comprises topics asked in the exam, marking scheme, duration of the exam etc. Along with the SSC CGL syllabus 2024, candidates must also check the exam pattern for their preparations. The duration of the exam is 1 hour.
