IBPS SO 2019 – Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the notification for IBPS SO 2019 on November 5. The application form of IBPS SO 2019 will be available online from November 6, 2019. Candidates will be able to fill the application form till November 26, 2019. To apply successfully for the exam, candidates must ensure that they fulfill all eligibility criteria prescribed by the conducting authority. IBPS conducts IBPS SO 2019 recruitment exam in three stages – prelims, mains and interview. Candidates who registers for the exam will be issued admit card for the exam stage in December. The prelims exam is scheduled to be conducted online on December 28 and 29, 2019. After the prelims exam, IBPS will declare the result to shortlist candidates for mains.

The mains exam will be conducted on January 25, 2019. Candidates securing the minimum cut off or more in mains will be called for Interview. After interview, IBPS will prepare the final result based on aggregate marks in mains and interview. As per final result, candidates will be given provisional allotment to specific posts in participating banks.

IBPS prescribes the eligibility criteria of IBPS SO 2019 along with the notification. To apply successfully for the recruitment exam, candidates must fulfil all eligibility conditions determined by the conducting authority. IBPS SO eligibility criteria of the exam are provided below.
Nationality: In order to apply successfully for IBPS SO 2019, candidates must be citizens of India.
Age requirements: Candidates should be between 20 and 30 years of age to be eligible for the exam.
Academic qualification: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in specific fields. Degree requirements are post-specific.
IBPS will release the online application form of IBPS SO 2019 on November 6. To apply for the exam, candidates will need to register for the exam with email ID and phone number. After registering for the exam, registration numbers and passwords will be generated. The steps to apply for IBPS SO are as follows:

IBPS will issue IBPS SO admit card for prelims in the month of December 2019. The admit card will be released in the online mode. To download the admit card, candidates have to log in with their registration number and password generated during registration. IBPS SO admit card 2019 contains details including name of candidate, registration number, parent’s name, address, date, time, venue of exam, exam day instructions, etc. Candidates must carry valid photo identity proof and photograph identical to the one provided during registration along with the admit card on the day of IBPS SO 2019 exam.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection prescribes the exam pattern of IBPS SO 2019 along with the notification. The exam pattern comprises information pertaining to IBPS SO 2019 examination including mode of test, total questions, division of sections, marking scheme, duration, etc. The prelims exam is for all posts will be conducted online and candidates will be allotted two hours to complete the test. The section on English Language will be held in English while the remaining two sections will be conducted both in English and Hindi. IBPS SO 2019 Exam Pattern for Prelims
For the posts of Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari
For the post of Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari, the exam will consist of three sections - English Language, General Awareness with Special Reference to Banking Industry and Reasoning. The section pertaining to English Language will contain 50 question. Marks allotted for the section is 25. General Awareness with Special Reference to Banking Industry and Reasoning sections will have 50 questions each for 50 marks.
For the posts of IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer
The prelims exam for the posts of IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer will contain three sections - English Language, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. The exam will be held online and total marks allotted for the exam is 125. The exam will contain 150 questions.
IBPS SO 2019 Exam Pattern - Mains Examination
For the posts of Law Officer, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer
IBPS SO 2019 mains exam for the above mentioned posts will contain one paper - Professional Knowledge. The paper consist of 60 objective type questions. The duration of the exam is 45 minutes. Candidates can attempt the exam both in Hindi and English.
For the post of Rajbhasha Adhikari
For Rajbhasha Adhikari posts, the exam will comprise two papers - Professional Knowledge (objective) and Professional Knowledge (descriptive). The exam is conduted for total 60 marks. The objective paper will contain 45 questions while there will be 2 questions for the descriptive paper. Candidates will be allotted 30 minutes for each paper.
Negative marking is applicable for prelims exam and 1/4th of the marks allotted for each question will be deducted for incorrect responses. However, no marks will be negated for unattempted questions.
The syllabus of IBPS SO is determined by IBPS along with the notification. The syllabus contains the list of topics required for the various stages of the exam. The syllabus for prelims is identical for all posts of IBPS SO 2019. In prelims, candidates appearing for the post of Rajbhasha Adhikari and Law Officer are exempted from attempting Quantitative Aptitude section while candidates of IT, Agriculture Field, HR/Personnel and Marketing Officers posts are not required to attempt the section on General Awareness section. However, the syllabus for mains exam will var for all posts. The complete IBPS SO syllabus 2019 for prelims have been given in the table below.
IBPS SO 2019 Syllabus for Prelims:
Candidates should extensively practice IBPS SO question papers to get a better understanding of exam pattern, marking scheme, syllabus, sectional division, difficulty level of the exam. Although the question paper of the examination are not release officially, candidates can download the same from coaching institutes. Candidates should solve previous years’ question papers on a regular basis to refine their problem-solving ability, time management skills thereby improving their overall performance in the exam.
The answer key of IBPS SO 2019 will contain the correct answers to the questions asked in the exam. With the help of IBPO SO answer key 2019 candidates can calculate their probable score in the exam. IBPS will not publish the answer key of the exam as both prelims and mains are conducted in the online mode. However, coaching institutes may release memory-based answer key for both stages of IBPS SO 2019.
The result of IBPS SO is declared in three stages – prelims, mains and final result. The result for each stage will be available online. The result of prelims is likely to be released in January 2020. To check the result, candidates have to enter their roll number/registration number and date of birth/ password. On the basis of prelims result, candidates will be selected for IBPS SO mains. After the mains exam, the conducting authority will prepare the result for mains. Candidates will be called to appear in the interview based on mains result. IBPS will release the final result of IBPS SO 2019 as per aggregate marks secured by candidates in mains and interview. The result of IBPS SO 2019 contains name of candidate, marks scored by candidates, qualification status, and other relevant information.
IBPS SO cut off 2019 will be released in three stages – prelims, mains and final. The cut off marks are the minimum marks that candidates must obtain in each stage of the exam to qualify for next stage of recruitment process. Candidates securing marks equal to or more than the prescribed IBPS SO cut off will be shortlisted for subsequent exam stages. The cut off of IBPS SO will be prepared separately for each post. The cut off will vary as per category.
IBPS SO 2019 recruitment exam will be conducted in three stages – prelims, mains and interview. On the basis of marks secured in the prelims exam, candidates will be shortlisted for mains exam. Candidates securing the minimum cut off or more in mains will be called for IBPS SO 2019 interview. After the interview, the conducting authority will prepare the final cut off based on which candidates will be provisionally allotted to the applied posts in participating banks.
