Staff Selection Commission has announced the revised SSC GD Constable vacancies 2024 on June 13, 2024. As per the notice, a total of 46617 vacancies have been announced for the SSC GD Constable 2024 exam.
The commission re-conducted the SSC GD Constable exam 2024 CBT on March 30, 2024, for candidates who faced specific technical reasons in certain venues. The SSC GD Constable exam was held on February, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29 and March 1, 5, 6, 7, 2024. SSC released the SSC GD constable admit card on February 10, 2024. SSC activated the SSC GD Constable 2024 application correction link from January 4 to 6, 2024.

SSC determined the eligibility criteria of SSC GD Constable 2024 in an official notification. The SSC GD Constable 2024 eligibility criteria are determined based on nationality, age, and educational qualification. Staff Selection Commission released the application form of SSC GD Constable 2024 in online mode on November 24. Candidates were able to fill out the form till the last date, December 31, 2023. The application fee of GD Constable is Rs. 100 for General and OBC while for SC, ST and women are exempted from paying the application fee.

Part 1 includes filling up of basic details i.e. name, qualification, centre name etc.
Part 2 includes the uploading of the scanned image, signature and filling of payment details etc.
Candidates applying for GD Constable 2024 application form have to fill the basic details in the online application form like name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender etc.
After filling the basic details aspirants need to submit the application form by clicking on the “I Agree” button mentioned on the screen.
After part 1 of the registration process was submitted the registration number appeared on the screen. Candidates must note down the application number for further use.
Enter the registration number and password to complete part 2 of the registration process.
Pay the requisite application fee, and upload a scanned photograph and signature.
Upload the latest colour passport-size photograph and signature and take a printout of the application form.

SSC prescribed the GD constable 2024 exam pattern which comprises three stages of selection. Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Standards Test (PST)/ Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Examination. The Computer Based Test will be of multiple choice type questions from four sections which include- General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics and English/Hindi. Applicants who will be selected for the CBT exam will be eligible to appear for PST/PET exam. Those who will appear for PST have to qualify the physical standards as prescribed by the commission. While PET stage includes (race) followed by biometric identification & screening of testimonials and thereafter chest and weight measurements by a board.

Candidates who qualify in the PET/PST exam will be further invited for medical examination. In this stage of the recruitment process applicants will have to undergo eye checkups, they must not have a knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein and squint in their eyes. Candidates who finally qualify at this stage will be eligible for the appointment on the basis of the final merit list of SSC GD Constable.

The Commission released the SSC GD Constable 2024 admit card for CBT on February 10, 2024. The admit card of SSC GD Constable 2024 will be available on the official website of SSC. Applicants can download their SSC GD Constable 2024 hall ticket in online mode only by entering their roll number/registration number/name and date of birth. You have to carry at least one photo-identity proof to the examination centre along with the admit card, otherwise, you will not be allowed to enter the hall.
The exam conducting authorities will conduct the GD Constable exam at various exam centres in 33 States/UTs.
