UPSC CMS Eligibility Criteria 2026

The UPSC CMS 2026 eligibility criteria are defined by the Union Public Services Commission. Candidates appearing for UPSC CMS 2026 exam must fulfil the eligibility criteria. Check the detailed eligibility criteria of UPSC CMS 2026 below.

Educational Qualification - Candidates must have completed or appearing the final year of the MBBS examination.

Nationality - Indian, or Bhutan, or Nepal, or Indian-origin migrants who have settled permanently in India from the East African Countries of Uganda, Kenya, Pakistan, the United Republic of Tanzania, Ethiopia, Malawi, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Zaire, Burma, or a Tibetan refugee who settled in India permanently before January 1, 1962, with the certificate issued by Government of India

Age - Candidates must be not more than 32 years (as on August 1, 2026). UPSC provides upper-age relaxation for candidates belonging to a certain category. In the following table, candidates can check the upper age relaxation limit.

UPSC CMS Application Form 2026

The UPSC CMS 2026 application form will be available from March 11, 2026 at upsconline.nic.in. The UPSC CMS apply online form can be filled by March 31, 2026. In Part 1, candidates need to complete the initial one-time registration (OTR) by entering their details candidate’s name, father’s name, and category etc., In Part 2, the SSC CMS application form 2026 filling process, online fee payment, the selection of exam centre and final submission of the online CMS application form.

How to fill UPSC CMS Application Form 2026

  • Open the UPSC official website - upsc.gov.in.

  • Click on the ‘Apply Online link’ available on the web page.

  • Online One-Time Registration (OTR)- If the applicants are not completed the One Time Registration, They have to complete it by providing some basic details such as personal and contact details.

  • Login by using valid login credentials Email ID and OTP/Password or Mobile number and OTP/Password or OTR ID and OTP/Password.

  • Candidates have to fill out the UPSC CMS 2026 application form in two parts which include filling in other details, fee payment (Rs.200), uploading of scanned documents, signature, photo identity card document and selection of preferred exam centre.

UPSC CMS Exam Pattern 2026

UPSC prescribes the syllabus as well as the UPSC CMS 2026 exam pattern. Candidates who are eligible to apply for the UPSC CMS 2026 exam are advised to understand the exam pattern to know the sections, topics, marking scheme, types of questions and subjects on which the question papers will be based. UPSC CMS exam 2026 consists of 2 stages - a written exam (CBE) and a personality test.

As per the UPSC CMS exam pattern 2026, the CBE will be conducted for 500 marks while the personality test will consist of 100 marks. UPSC CMS 2026 written exam will have 2 papers - paper 1 (General Medicine and Paediatrics) and paper 2 (Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics and Preventive & Social Medicine). The commission released the UPSC CMS 2026 syllabus online along with the official notification. The table below shows the detailed syllabus of UPSC CMS 2026. The Commission will release the answer key of UPSC CMS 2026 on its website after the final result is declared. The UPSC CMS 2026 answer key will be released for CBE written exam. UPSC After BHMS

Surely one can opt for UPSC that is civil service examinations after BHMS to pursue career in civil services.

The eligibility age may vary as per reservation criterion ranges from 32 years to 37 years. ( Detail chart is available on official website)

The syllabus remains same for all in preliminary examination while special subjects pertaining to Homoeopathy are supposed to be included in mains.

After homeopathy one can peruse UPSC and can serve in various administration departments depending upon the merit secured. If specific examination opted for particular post then it would be case dependant.

The eligibility criteria to apply for UPSC Combined Medical Service Examination is that a candidate must have passed the written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. Examination. Candidates who are appearing in final year examination are also eligible to apply provisionally. A candidate who has yet to complete the compulsory rotating internship is educationally eligible for admission to the examination but on selection he/she will be appointed only after he/she has completed the compulsory rotating internship.
