Indian Overseas Bank SO 2023 Exam - Dates, Application, Admit Card, Syllabus, Result

The exam conducting authority released the application form of Indian Overseas Bank in online mode on November 6. Eligible candidates can apply for the available vacancies for more than one post till November 27. Along with filling of the Indian Overseas Bank SO application form, candidates must also pay a prescribed application fee according to their category. The application fee must be paid individually for each post for which the candidates will apply. The application fee of Indian Overseas Bank SO must be paid in online mode.

• Candidates must hold B.E/B.Tech or P.G Degree in Computer Science/Computer Technology/Computer Science & Engineering/Information Technology/Electronics & Communication/Information Security/Cyber Security with not less than 60%.

• Must have at least 2 years of experience in information security for the post of Manager (Information Security). 

• Candidates applying for the post of Senior Manager (Information Security) must have 4 years of experience in Information Security. 

•  For Manager (Information System Audit), candidates must have 2 years of experience in IS audit.

• For the post of Senior Manager (Information System Audit), candidates must have 4 years of experience in IS audit.

Indian Overseas Bank prescribes the exam pattern of Indian Overseas Bank PO in order to facilitate the candidates to know the different sections from where the questions are asked in the exam. Along with the sections, Indian Overseas Bank SO exam pattern also contains the total number of questions, duration of the exam and total marks. Candidates must go through the exam pattern of Indian Overseas Bank SO before they start preparing for the exam.

The exam of Indian Overseas Bank SO will be conducted for two phases - online test, and Interview. Candidates who qualify in the online test will be further invited for the interview round. Candidates who will be selected in the interview will be the ones who will be shortlisted for the recruitment at Indian Overseas Bank as SOs.

• One-fourth of the marks will be deducted for every wrong answer given by the candidates.   

• No marks will be deducted if the question is left unanswered.

Candidates who qualify in the online exam will further be invited for the Interview.

The admit card of Indian Overseas Bank SO will be sent to the candidates individually on their E-Mail IDs. The examination authority will issue Indian Overseas Bank SO admit card for both online exam and interview. The call letter of Indian Overseas Bank will contain details regarding date, time and venue of the examination. Candidates must take a printout of the call letter sent through mail and carry the same to the exam centre on the day of online test. 

Along with the admit card of Indian Overseas Bank SO, candidates must also have one of the prescribed photo identity proofs - an Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, driving license, and voter ID card. No candidates will be allowed to appear for the exam if they fail to present the Indian Overseas Bank SO admit card at the examination centre.

The result of the Indian Overseas Bank SO will be announced by the exam conducting authority in two phases – Online exam result and final merit list. After the interview is conducted, a final merit list will be released which will include the names of the shortlisted candidates for the available posts. The final merit list will be prepared to take into consideration only the marks scored by the candidates in the Interview round. The marks obtained by them in the online test will not be included.

In order to shortlist the candidates, the exam conducting authority will determine the minimum marks that must be scored by the candidates in order to qualify the exam. The cut off of Indian Overseas Bank SO will be determined according to the category of the candidates. Candidates will have to score the category wise overall cut off in order to appear in the next stage of the selection process. All those candidates who obtain equal to or more than the cut off of Indian Overseas Bank SO will be considered to be selected for the post.
