Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducted the IBPS clerk mains exam 2024 on October 13, 2024 at several exam centres. Earlier, the IBPS Clerk admit card 2024 was released for prelims exam online on August 13, 2024. In order to apply for the IBPS Clerk 2024 exam, candidates must meet certain eligibility criteria. Thus, the exam conducting authority will determine the eligibility criteria of IBPS Clerk 2024 on the basis of Nationality, Age, and Educational Qualification.

Eligibility Criteria of IBPS Clerk – Nationality/Citizenship

A candidate must be either of the following:
(i) A Citizen of India or
(ii) A subject of Bhutan or
(iii) A subject of Nepal or
(iv) A Tibetan Refugee who settled in India before January 1, 1962, permanently
(v) A person of Indian origin who has migrated to settle in India permanently from Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam, Pakistan, and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia.
Candidate belonging to the above categories (ii, iii, iv & v), must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Eligibility Criteria of IBPS Clerk – Age Limit

In order to fill the online application form of 2024 IBPS Clerk, candidates must have attained 20 years of age and must not exceed 28 years.
However, there are certain age relaxations given by the exam conducting authority according to the categories of the candidates.

Eligibility Criteria of IBPS Clerk – Education Qualification

  • Candidates must hold a Graduation degree from Government recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

  • While registering online, candidates must have valid Degree certificate/Mark-sheet indicating the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation.   

  • Candidates must have operating and working knowledge in computer systems and have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/language or must have studied Computer/IT as one of the subjects in High School/Institute/College.

  • Proficient in Official/Local Language of the State/UT for which a candidate is applying for. Candidates must know how to read/write and speak the Official language of preferred State/UT.       

IBPS closed the IBPS clerk application form on July 28, 2024 (extended date). The IBPS clerk application form 2024 was released on July 1, 2024 on their official website. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can fill the application form of the IBPS Clerk 2024 along with the payment of application fees. Candidates before filling the IBPS clerk application form must keep the following pre-requisites ready with themselves:

  • E-mail ID: Candidates must have an active and valid email ID till the selection process is completed because all information related to the IBPS Clerk exam is sent on this e-mail ID of the candidate.
  • Scanned copy of handwritten declaration according to the format given in the notification.
  • Photograph & Signature: Candidates must have their signature scanned and have a passport size photograph as per the specifications required.
  • Bank account or card details through which payment will be done, 

Candidates must keep in mind that the IBPS Clerk application form will not be accepted without the payment of application fees. The application fees must be paid in online mode.

IBPS Clerk Preliminary Exam Pattern

The IBPS Clerk exam pattern for prelims contains questions from three sections - English, Aptitude, and Reasoning.

  • There are a total of 100 questions asked in the preliminary exam of IBPS Clerk.   

  • Each question carries 1 mark. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.   

  • Candidates will be allotted 20 minutes to complete each section.

IBPS Clerk Mains Exam Pattern

The IBPS Clerk mains exam contains questions from four sections - General/Financial Awareness, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, General English, and Quantitative Aptitude

  • IBPS Clerk mains exam has a total of 190 questions   

  • Candidates are allotted 160 minutes to complete the IBPS Clerk mains exam. Each section has a sectional time limit to be completed.   

  • The total marks for which IBPS Clerk mains exam is conducted is 200 marks.

Preliminary Exam

The admit card of IBPS Clerk has been issued in online mode on August 13, 2024 to all those candidates who have successfully fill the application form of IBPS clerk. Mains Exam

The final list of selected candidates will be prepared on the basis of the marks scored by the candidates in the mains examination. The marks will be normalized out of 100 for the candidates to be allotted provisionally. If more than one candidate scores equal marks, then the selection will be done taking their age into consideration.

The cut off marks for both prelims and mains exam are determined by the IBPS. The exam conducting authority determines two types of IBPS cut off - sectional cut off and overall category wise cut off. The candidates must score equal to or more than the IBPS 2024 cut off marks to qualify the examination.

IBPS Clerk Selection process

The exam of IBPS Clerk will be conducted by IBPS in two phases- Preliminary and Mains. IBPS Clerk Mains Examination

IBPS Clerk mains examination is the second stage in the selection process of IBPS Clerk. Only those candidates who have qualified the prelims exam appear in the mains exam of IBPS Clerk . The mains exam of IBPS Clerk is conducted in online mode for 160 minutes in which 190 questions are asked. The mains exam of IBPS Clerk is conducted for 200 marks. The final result of IBPS Clerk will be declared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in the mains exam only. The qualified candidates will then recruited in the clerical cadre in any of the bank under IBPS.

IBPS or institute of banking personal selection, is an every year contacts different examinations recruit candidates in different posts like clerical and provisional officers. Recently a notification also came out from IBPS. For clerical examination on minimum age should be 20 and maximum age should be 28. That means if anyone is going to give the examination on 2023 then one should not born later than 01.07.2003 or before than 02.07.1995 . There should be a document proof for your address while you make available the documents for verification at the appropriate time. You can get a notary certificate for your residential address or you can produce the copy of rental agreement along with original agreement wherein the details about your present address are available. Yes you are eligible for IBPS clerk 2022 exam if you have done it from IME edu Delhi but you should be above the age of 20 and  you should not have crossed the age of 28 years. You can be given age relaxation of 5 years if you belong to any Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe, relaxation of 3 years if you are an OBC(other backward caste) candidate
