PSTET 2020 - State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) will release the PSTET 2020 notification along with the application form in September. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be able to fill the application form of PSTET 2020. Candidates successfully filling the application form will be issued the PSTET admit card. The test of PSTET will be held at various exam centres across the state of Punjab. As per the PSTET 2020 exam pattern, the test will be held for two papers - paper I and II wherein paper I is for becoming teachers in classes 1 to 5 while paper II is for classes 6 to 8. The PSTET application form will be released for determining the eligibility of the candidates as Teachers in classes 1 to 8. Candidates securing 60% marks or more will be considered qualified. All the qualifying candidates will be issued the eligibility certificate.
PSTET 2020 is expected to be held in December in offline mode. The test will be held for a total of 150 marks for each paper. Candidates will be given 2 hours 30 minutes for each paper. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria before filling the application form of PSTET 2020. The authorities determine the PSTET eligibility criteria on the basis of education qualification. The PSTET eligibility criteria is determined for both the primary stage of teachers and the elementary stage separately.
The authorities have not determined any upper age limit for applying for PSTET.
For Appearing in Paper I - Primary stage (for teachers in class 1 to 5)
Candidates who have passed 12th class with at least 50% and a 4 years of elementary education training.
Or
Must be a Graduate and have passed or appearing in the final year of a two year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Or
Must have passed Senior Secondary with 50% marks or more and have passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education.
For Appearing in paper II - Elementary stage (for teachers in class 6 to 8)
Candidates must be a graduate and have passed/appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education.
Or
Must be a Graduate with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 1st year of B.Ed.

Graduation with 45% marks and passed/appearing in 1st year of B.Ed as per NCTE
Or
Senior Secondary with 50% or more marks and passed/appearing in the final year of 4 years B.El.Ed.
Or
Must have passed Senior Secondary with at least 50% and passed/appearing in the final year of 4 years B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
Or
Graduation Degree with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 1st year of B.Ed. (Special Education).
The authorities will release the PSTET application form in September 2020 in online mode at the official website. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can fill the application form within the allotted time frame. To pay the online application fee of PSTET, candidates can use various payment gateways like Master/Visa/Credit Card/Debit Card etc.
Candidates will be able to select the desired exam centres of PSTET 2020 while filling the application form. The exam centres are the venues wherein the exam will be held. The exam conducting bodies have prescribed the exam pattern of both paper I and II of the PSTET exam. Candidates must go through the PSTET exam pattern before appearing for the exam. The exam pattern contains the various sections from where the questions will be asked in the exam, marking schemes, total questions, duration etc. Here are some important points to remember for PSTET exam pattern:
The test of PSTET will be held in offline mode.
PSTET exam will be conducted bilingually (Hindi & English).
The questions will be objective type Multiple Choice (MCQs)
Both paper I and II will contain a total of 150 marks questions.
A time of 2 hours 30 minutes will be allotted to complete each of paper I and II.
No marks will be deducted for any wrong response given by the candidates.

SCERT prescribes the syllabus of PSTET for all aspiring candidates to help them know what must be studied for the exam. The PSTET syllabus contains the section wise topics for both papers. As per the syllabus. The topics and chapters will be mentioned from the following different sections:

The authorities will release the admit card of PSTET in online mode at its official website. All candidates who will successfully fill the application form will be able to download the PSTET admit card in online mode. PSTET admit card 220 will be released for both paper I and II. To download the admit card, candidates will have to use registration number and password. PSTET admit card will contain details like candidate’s name, date and time of exam, venue etc. Candidates must carry the admit card of PSTET to the exam centre along with one of the prescribed ID proofs - Aadhaar Card, Voter Card, PAN card, Passport, and Driving License.

The authorities will release a provisional PSTET 2020 answer key for both the papers set wise for set A, C, C and D after the conclusion of the exam in PDF format. Candidates can check all the correct answers to the questions asked in the exam. Candidates can also raise objections against the answer key of PSTET 2020 in case of discrepancies. The authorities will release the cut off of PSTET in the form of qualifying marks. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks in order to be shortlisted for the final merit list. As per the PSTET cut off, a candidate (general) securing 60% or more marks in order to qualify in the exam.

You will not be able to change the allotted PSTET 2020 exam centres in any circumstances.
No, you do not have to appear for both paper I and II. You can take either of the two. However, appearing in both paper I and II will be a wider opportunity as the qualified candidates can become teachers in both 1 to 5 and 6 to 8 classes.

Hey,
The examination is almost here, so now you cannot do any corrections for sure. So contact the helpdesk or visit the nearest exam centre if you know any. Tell them about your problem. Also, take your birth certificate or any other proof with you when you visit them.
Though, your application may also get rejected since you had a chance to make corrections during correction window that opened in November. So now, just try to contact the helpdesk and see if it helps.
