Teachers Recruitment Board activated the TNTET 2026 apply link for working teachers on February 18, 2026 on the official website, trb.tn.gov.in. Candidates can submit the TNTET application form 2026 until April 10, 2026. The TNTET notificationon was released on February 13, 2206. The TNTET exam 2026 is going to be conducted on July 4 and 5, 2026(Paper I and Paper II).
Candidates can check TNTET eligibility, age limit, syllabus, etc. given in the notification. Those who are unable to fill the applications within the specified dates won't be allowed further to apply for TNTET exam. Before applying for examination, candidates have to check TNTET eligibility criteria.
Teachers Recruitment Board conducts the TNTET exam once a year to recruit eligible teachers for primary and upper primary sections in government schools of Tamil Nadu. The authority takes two papers in the TNTET exam - paper I (class I to V) and paper II (class VI to VIII) in offline mode. Candidates will be able to apply for TNTET 2026 paper I or paper II or both as per their eligibility. Those qualifying the TNTET 2026 examination will be awarded the eligibility certificate now valid for lifetime. After this, candidates will be able to apply in various schools in Tamil Nadu.

TNTET Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (session 2026)
Teachers Recruitment Board declares the TNTET result 2026 for both the papers in online mode. The result of TNTET 2026 contains details like name, category, total marks and subject-wise marks. Candidates qualifying the exam will get the TET eligibility certificate valid for lifetime.
All the aspiring candidates must have completed and passed 10+2/HSC with atleast 50 % and also must have a Diploma in Education/Diploma in Elementary Education from a recognized institute.
Or, candidates who are in final year and appearing for D.E.Ed. can also apply for TNTET 2025. However, during documents verification candidates will have to provide the D.E.Ed certificate or else they will not be eligible to receive the TET eligibility certificate

The Teachers Recruitment Board releases the TNTET 2026 admit card in online mode. Candidates can download their admit card 2026 from the official website by entering their registration/roll number and date of birth/password. The admit card of TNTET 2026 contains details such as name, venue of the exam, the timing of the exam, photograph etc. Also, candidates must carry at least one photo ID along with the TNTET admit card.
The Teachers Recruitment Board releases the TNTET answer key 2026 on the official website. A provisional answer key of TNTET 2026 is released first. Candidates can challenge the TNTET answer key within 5 days from the date of release.
With the help of TNTET answer key 2026, candidates can check the correct responses to the questions asked in the entrance exam. Based on the correct and incorrect answers, candidates can also calculate their probable marks secured in TNTET 2026 exam.
To qualify the TNTET 2026 exam, candidates have to secure the minimum qualifying marks that is decided by the Teachers Recruitment Board.
