TNTET 2020 - Teachers Recruitment Board, Tamil Nadu will released the notification of TNTET 2020 in February. Eligible candidates will be able to fill the application form of TNTET 2020 from March to April 2020 in online mode. Along with the filing of application form, candidates will also have to pay the prescribed application fees within the allotted time frame. Candidates who will fill the application form successfully will be able to download TNTET admit card 2020 ten days prior to the day of exam. TNTET 2020 exam is expected to be held in May 2020, the result of which is expected to be out by June 2020.
TNTET 2020 will be conducted to determine the eligibility of the candidates as teachers in classes 1 to 8. The test of TNTET will be held in offline mode for two papers - Paper I (for classes 1 to 5) and paper II for classes 6 to 8). **Note: Teachers Recruitment Board, Tamil Nadu has released the answer key of TNTET 2019 for both paper I and Paper II in the form of PDF on July 9, 2019. Candidates can raise objections till July 15, 2019 (till 5:30 pm). Candidates can raise objections through post or may drop in the box at Teachers Recruitment Board’s Information centre along with the valid proof for their objection.

The examination authority will determined the eligibility criteria of TNTET 2020 exam for all aspiring candidates. It is important for the candidates to meet TNTET eligibility criteria 2020 to avoid rejection at the later stage of the selection process. The eligibility criteria of TNTET 2020 is determined on the basis of the age and education qualification of the candidates.

TNTET Eligibility Criteria on the basis of Education Qualification
For appearing in Paper I
Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and have passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Must have passed Higher Secondary with not less than 45% marks and have passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
Higher Secondary with not less than 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Candidates must hold Graduation degree and have passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
2. For appearing in paper II
Candidates must be Graduates and have passed or appearing in final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Must hold a Graduation degree with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)
Graduation with not less than 45% marks and have passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), as per NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations.
Must have passed Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
Higher Secondary with not less than 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed.
Must be a Graduate with at least 50% marks and have passed or appearing in final year of B.Ed. (Special Education).
Any candidate who has qualified B.Ed. programme, recognized by the NCTE is also eligible to appear in TET.
The application form of TNTET 2020 will be release by the examination authority in March 2020. Candidates will be able to fill the application form in online mode till April 2020. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria before they start filling the TNTET application form. Candidates must have the following particulars ready with them before they start filling TNTET application form:
Scanned passport size photograph ((JPG/JPEG /PNG format of size 20-60 kB)
Scanned copy of signature (JPG/JPEG/PNG format of size 10-30 kB)
Active mobile number and email ID.
Along with the filling of application form, candidates must also pay the prescribed application fee as per their category. General candidates will have pay Rs. 500 whereas SC, SCA, ST and PWD candidates will have to pay Rs. 250.
The exam of TNTET will be conducted at various centre in the districts of Tamil Nadu. Candidates must find the details about their respective exam centre in the admit card. Candidates must reach TNTET exam centres well before the time on the day of examination.
The exam pattern of TNTET will be prescribed by the examination authority for all the candidates who wish to appear for the exam. By going through TNTET exam pattern 2020, candidates will know the sections from where the questions can be asked in the exam, total number of questions asked, marks distribution, duration of exam etc.
TNTET Exam Pattern 2020 - Paper I
Contain question from 5 sections - Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1 (Tamil/Telugu/Malayalam/Kannada/Urdu, Language 2 – English, Mathematics and Environmental Studies.
The test for paper I will contain a total of 150 questions of 1 mark each.
Candidates will be given 3 hours to complete the test.
No marks will be deducted for any wrong response given by the candidate.
TNTET Exam Pattern 2020 - Paper II
Paper II will contain questions from four sections - Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1 (Tamil/Telugu/Malayalam/Kannada/Urdu), Language 2 – English, and i) For Maths and Science/Social Science
The test will be held for a total of 150 questions of 1 mark each. Candidates will be allotted 3 hours to complete the test.
No negative marking.
The admit card of TNTET will be issued to only those candidates who will fill the application form successfully. The admit card will be issued in the last week of April 2020 and candidates will be able to download the admit card till the date of exam. To download the admit card, candidates will have to use their login credentials. The admit card of TNTET will contain the details related to candidates and the examination - name if the candidates, date of birth, registration number, roll number, date and time of examination, paper for which the test has to be taken, exam centre details. Candidates must take a print of the admit card and bring it to the exam centre on the day of exam. Along with the admit card, candidates must also bring one of the prescribed photo ID proofs - Aadhaar card, Voter ID card, Driving license, PAN card, Passport. No candidates will be allowed to take test without the admit card and the prescribed photo ID proof.
The answer key of TNTET will be released once the exam gets over. TNTET answer key 2020 will contain the correct answers to all the questions asked in the exam. By going through the answer key of TNTEt, candidates will be able to calculate their expected marks and thus predict their chances to qualify for the test. Candidates can also raise objections in case of discrepancies in the answer key. After scrutinising the provisional answer key, the exam authority will release the final TNTET answer key 2020 on the basis of which the final result will be announced.
The result of TNTET will be announced in online mode for both the papers. TNTET result 2020 can be checked by the candidates by using their login credentials. The TNTET result 2020 will contain the marks scored by the candidates and the qualifying status. All those candidates who score 60% marks (general category) and 55% marks (SC/ST and PWD category) in the TNTET exam will be considered qualified.
The cut off of TNTET is the minimum qualifying marks that is determined by the examination authority in order to shortlist the candidates to the next level of the selection process. TNTET cut off 2020 will be determined category wise for each paper.
