The SSC stenographer application form 2020 has been released on October 10, 2020 at the official website. The last date to apply for SSC Stenographer is November 4, 2020. Candidates opting for the offline fee payment are required to generate the challan on or before last date. Application fee for SSC stenographer 2020 is Rs. 100 (for General and OBC). While applicants who belong to SC/ST/PwD/Ex-servicemen categories, as well as female candidates, are exempted from paying the application fee. SSC Stenographer 2020 Exam Pattern
Staff Selection Commission prescribes the exam pattern of stenographer in official notification. This includes details like marking scheme, number of papers, time duration, qualifying marks and number of questions from each subject. The recruitment process of Stenographer comprises two stages – CBT and Skill Test. The question paper of CBT (Computer Based Test) will consist of three sections - General Awareness, General Intelligence,, English Language and Comprehension. SSC Stenographer 2020 Admit Card
The exam conducting authorities will release SSC Stenographer admit card separately for Computer Based Test and Skill Test. The admit card of SSC Stenographer exam 2020 will be issued 4 days before the commencement of exam. While city intimation of SSC Stenographer will be issued 10 days before the exam. Candidates can download SSC stenographer 2020 admit cards by entering login with their roll number/registration number/name and date of birth. The admit card of Stenographer includes details like name, date, time and address of exam centres etc. Candidates who qualify the Computer Based Test exam will be issued admit cards for appearing in the skill test.
SSC Stenographer 2020 Result
SSC Stenographer result 2020 will be declared in two stages - CBE and final in online mode. The result of SSC Stenographer exam 2020 for CBE will be released in the form of a login window. After the declaration of SSC Stenographer 2020 result, a merit list will be prepared on the basis of candidate’s marks in CBE exam. On the basis of the merit list aspirants will be further called for the skill test. The computer-based test marks of candidates is calculated out of 200 marks. Candidates need to qualify in all the subjects - General Awareness, General Intelligence, Reasoning, and English Comprehension. The marks of CBT will be normalised to announce SSC Stenographer result 2020. The Stenographer final result will be announced based on the marks obtained by candidates in CBT provided they qualify the skill test.
SSC Stenographer 2020 Selection Process
Eligible candidates will be selected based on their performance in the written test followed by skill test and document verification. Candidates who will qualify the written test with minimum cut off marks will be called for the skill test.
SSC Stenographer 2020 Skill Test
In the skill test, candidates typing speed will be evaluated. The admit card and details related to the skill test will be issued to candidates who will qualify the written exam.
- Candidates will get a dictation in Hindi/ English for 10 minutes.
- They will have to type the dictation in the computer without making any spelling mistakes.
- The typing speed for Stenographer Grade 'C' posts should be 100 w.p.m
- The typing speed for Stenographer Grade 'D' posts should be 80 w.p.m.
SSC Stenographer Cut off 2020
Applicants should note that the SSC Stenographer cut off is the minimum qualifying marks that you have to secure to get selected for the next round of selection process. SSC Stenographer 2020 Cutoff marks are released along with the result. Candidates who secure equal to or more than SSC Stenographer cutoff in CBT exam as per their category will be selected for the merit list.
