The Staff Selection Commission will soon release the SSC Stenographer 2024 final answer key at ssc.gov.in. The SSC Stenographer 2024 answer key challenge window was activated from December 16 to 18, 2024. The SSC Stenographer paper 1 exam 2024 was conducted on December 10 & 11, 2024. Earlier, the SSC Stenographer admit card 2024 for paper 1 was released on December 5, 2024. The commission issued the SSC Stenographer 2025 exam city intimation slip on November 29, 2024. The SSC stenographer 2024 application form correction window was activated from August 27 to 28, 2024 at ssc.gov.in.
The SSC Stenographer 2024 application form was released on July 26, 2024. Candidates were able fill the SSC Stenographer 2024 application form till August 17, 2024. Candidates, at least 18 years of age who have completed Class 12 are eligible to apply for this recruitment exam. The selection process includes the Computer-based test (CBT) and the Skill Test. SSC Stenographer is a national-level competitive exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the recruitment to the post of Stenographer Grade C and D (Non-Gazetted). Staff Selection Commission deactivated the SSC stenographer 2024 application form correction window on August 28, 2024 on the official website, ssc.gov.in. The SSC Stenographer exam 2024 application form was released on July 26, 2024. The last date to apply for the SSC Stenographer exam 2024 was August 17, 2024. The application form can be filled in two parts – Part A (One- time registration and filling up of basic details) and Part B (filling the application form includes entering education qualification, selection of centres, paying the requisite fee and selection of preferred post etc.)
In Part A of SSC Stenographer application form, candidates will have an option to edit the details entered like date of birth, gender, mother’s name or father’s name etc if they make any mistake. The editing of these details can only be done before final submission hence, it is advised to check the details entered carefully before final submission.
Steps to fill SSC Stenographer Application form
Candidates will have to fill SSC Stenographer application form in two parts.
SSC Stenographer Application form Registration – Part A
Step 1 – Generation of one time ID and password which can be used while registering for any exam conducted by SSC.
Step 2 – Filling up of basic details including gender, date of birth, name, father’s and mother’s name and uploading of signature and photograph etc.
Step 3 – Checking the details entered and clicking on ‘submit’ button to register the part A SSC Stenographer application form.
SSC Stenographer Application form Registration – Part B
Step 4 – Login with the registration ID and password generated to part B of the application form.
Step 5 – Candidates can now fill their details like educational qualification, posts they want to apply for SSC Stenographer.
Step 6 – Selection of exam centres as per the choice.
Step 7 – Payment of application can be done in online mode only. Online payment can be done through net banking or debit/ credit card / BHIM.

The exam pattern of SSC Stenographer is prescribed by Staff Selection Commission (SSC). SSC Stenographer exam is conducted into two stages – Computer based test and Skill test. The Computer Based Test has three sections - General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, English Language and Comprehension.
All the questions are set in English/Hindi except part 3 of CBT. The test carries total 200 questions which candidates have to solve within 2 hours. VH/OH candidates will be given 40 minutes extra to answer. Maximum marks allotted to complete the test is 200.

Skill test of SSC Stenographer is conducted for only those candidates who qualify computer-based examination. The qualifying standards of this test are fixed by SSC as per categories. In this stage, candidates are asked to type the dictated matter on computer within the time frame. The time duration of skill test for Grade C and D is different for English and Hindi.

General awareness: Unit 01
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released the SSC Stenographer 2024 admit card for CBT on December 5, 2024. To download SSC Stenographer admit card, candidates have to enter roll number/registration ID and date of birth. The admit card includes details like roll number, details of exam centre, candidate’s name, venue of exam, time and date etc. Candidate will have to carry 3 passport size photograph, one photo identity proof along with the admit card on the day of examination.
The admit card for skill test is only issued to those candidates who qualify the computer-based test. To download the admit card candidates have to enter the roll number/registration ID and date of birth. The admit card carry basic details of the candidates along with the date, time of examination centre.
Staff Selection Commission closed the SSC Stenographer answer key challenge 2024 on December 18, 2024. The provisional SSC Steno 2024 answer key was released on December 16, 2024.
The commission will first released the provisional SSC Stenographer 2024 answer key for computer-based examination. Based on SSC Stenographer answer key candidates can calculate their score. In case of any discrepancy in the official answer key candidates will be able to challenge for a certain time period.
The result of SSC Stenographer will be released online at ssc.gov.in. SSC Stenographer result of CBT is released in pdf format. SSC Stenographer result of CBT is calculated out of 200 marks. Candidates who qualify CBT are eligible to appear in Skill test. The result is released separately for computer-based examination and skill test or final result separately by the exam conducting authority.
SSC Stenographer result for skill test will be evaluated group-wise. Candidates who qualify the skill test will be called for document verification. SSC will then release the final result of the qualified candidates. On the basis of candidates’ performance in CBT and Skill test, the merit list will be prepared and allotment in various departments will be done by SSC.
The cutoff of SSC Stenographer will be fixed by SSC, the exam conducting authority. Candidates will have to score equal and above the minimum qualifying released by the commission. SSC Stenographer cutoff for CBT will be done through normalization process because the exam is conducted for multiple days and sessions.
Candidates who qualify the CBT cutoff will be eligible to appear for Skill test. SSC will release the category-wise and post-wise qualifying marks in each part of skill test. SSC Stenographer skill test is qualifying in nature. The final result of the selected candidates will be done on the basis of performance in written exam and skill test. The cutoff will be available in percentage format on the basis of their total marks of last selected candidate.

The minimum qualifying marks for stenographer exam is different for different categories. The minimum marks for General Category is 30%. The cutoff for SC\ST\PwD\ESM Category is 25%.
