JKPSC KAS Result 2020 - Preliminary Exam

The exam conducting body will release the JKPSC KAS 2020 prelims exam result. The preliminary result will be calculated out of 400 marks combining the marks of both paper 1 and 2. Candidates qualifying in the preliminary stage will be able to appear for the mains exam. JKPSC shortlisted candidates twenty-five times the total number of vacancies for the mains exam.

JKPSC KAS Result 2020 - Mains Exam

Candidates who qualify the mains will have to fill the application form of the mains exam. The mains exam of JKPSC KAS consists of written examination. There are eight papers of conventional essay type in the mains exam. As per the exam pattern of JKPSC, English will be qualifying in nature whereas paper 1-7 will be counted for the preparation of the merit list. The JKPSC KAS result for mains exam will be calculated out of 1750 marks. Candidates qualifying in the mains will be eligible to appear for the Interview which will carry 250 marks.

JKPSC KAS Final Merit List 2020

The final merit of JKPSC KAS will be prepared by combining the marks of mains and interview. Candidates whose name appears in the final merit list will be allotted to the services preferred by them during the submission of the application form for the main examination.

JKPSC KAS Marking Scheme 2020

  • For each incorrect answer in JKPSC KAS 2020 preliminary exam 0.33 marks will be deducted as negative marking.

  • If candidates attempt more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer.

  • The JKPSC KAS prelims exam will be conducted for 400 marks whereas the mains exam will be conducted for 1750. The Interview/Personality test will be conducted for 250.

JKPSC KAS Cutoff 2020

The cutoff marks of JKPSC KAS will be released by the commission separately for the preliminary, mains exam and final cutoff. To qualify the exam, candidates will have to score equal to or more than the cutoff marks to be eligible for the next round of selection process.

There will be 2 papers in JKPSC KAS Prelims 2020. Paper 2 will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks of 33%.

JKPSC KAS is conducted for recruitment of various administerial posts in Jammu and Kashmir like Junior Scale Administrative Service,  Police (Gazetted) Service; and  Accounts (Gazetted) Service in the state of Jammu and Kashmir

Eligibility for this is passed graduation  in any discipline from a recognized university, those in the final year too are eligible to apply. There is no specific aggregate required in this case.Candidates need to be permanent resident of Jammu and Kashmir.

Candidates need to be at least 21 years old, the upper age limit is 32 years.

As the eligibility criteria for JKPSC KAS says so your age must be minimum 21 and it should be maximum 35 , while there is relaxation till 40 years for reservations category  candidates, and it is 45 year for PH /widow candidates, while number of attempts for general candidate is 5 and for OBC it is 7 and for SC/ST/- it is unlimited number of attempts, so if you are from general category then you are not eligible to give this exam next year, while if you are from other categories then see your eligibility accordingly from the above data.
