JKPSC KAS Cutoff 2019 - Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) will release the cutoff for prelims, mains exam and final cutoff. The exam conducting body, JKPSC will also announce the minimum qualifying marks for the prelims and mains exam. Candidates will have to obtain minimum qualifying marks as well as overall JKPSC KAS cutoff 2019 to be eligible to appear for next round of selection process.
JKPSC KAS cutoff 2019 for the preliminary exam will be released by the commission where candidates will have to obtain the minimum qualifying marks in both the papers. Based on the preliminary exam, candidates will be shortlisted for the mains exam. Candidates qualified in the mains exam will have to appear for Personality test/Interview. Shortlisted candidates will be eligible for final recruitment to various administrative posts based on the marks obtained by them in the mains exam and interview. The cutoff of JKPSC KAS will be announced in stages. Candidates appearing for JKPSC KAS 2019 will have to qualify the cutoff to appear for next round. The details about the stages of JKPSC KAS cutoff 2019 is explained below.
The preliminary exam of JKPSC KAS 2019 consists of two papers - General Studies Paper I and II. Candidates will have to obtain minimum qualifying marks in the General Studies Paper-I of preliminary examination which will be fixed by the Commission. However, as per previous year notification, the minimum qualifying percentage for General Studies Paper-II was 33%.
The cutoff of 2016 for the preliminary exam was 270.477 marks out of the aggregate of 450 marks.
JKPSC KAS cutoff 2019 for preliminary exam will be determined to shortlist the candidates for mains exam. The marks obtained by the candidates in the preliminary exam will not be added in the final merit list. The preliminary exam of JKPSC will be conducted for 400 marks. Candidates will be given 2 hours to answer each paper of JKPSC KAS.
The cut off for the mains exam will be released by the commission. The candidates will have to obtain minimum qualifying marks in all the papers of JKPSC KAS mains exam. JKPSC KAS cutoff 2019 will be calculated out of 1750 marks. There will 8 conventional type papers whereas paper I-VII will be counted for the preparation of merit list. English paper will be qualifying in nature. On the basis of JKPSC KAS cutoff 2019, thrice the total number of vacancies candidates will be shortlisted for Interview.
The cutoff of final merit list /cutoff will be obtained on the basis of mains and personality test. JKPSC KAS cutoff 2019 for final merit list will be calculated out of 2000 marks. The cutoff for personality test will be obtained out of 250 marks. Candidates selected on the basis of final merit list will be eligibile fior the recruitment to the various posts like Junior Scale of J&K Administrative Service, J&K Police (Gazetted) Service, J&K Accounts (Gazetted) Service.
The result of JKPSC will be announced online. Candidates will have to download the result in pdf format. The result pdf will have the roll number of qualified candidates. Shortlisted candidates in the prelims exam will be eligibile to appear for mains exam.

There will be 2 papers in JKPSC KAS Prelims 2020. Paper 2 will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks of 33%.

JKPSC KAS is conducted for recruitment of various administerial posts in Jammu and Kashmir like Junior Scale Administrative Service, Police (Gazetted) Service; and Accounts (Gazetted) Service in the state of Jammu and Kashmir
Eligibility for this is passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university, those in the final year too are eligible to apply. There is no specific aggregate required in this case.Candidates need to be permanent resident of Jammu and Kashmir.
Candidates need to be at least 21 years old, the upper age limit is 32 years.
