SSC determines the eligibility criteria of SSC GD Constable 2020 in official notification. The GD Constable 2020 eligibility criteria are determined on the basis of nationality, age, and educational qualification. Staff Selection Commission will release the application form of SSC GD Constable 2020 tentatively on October 7. Candidates will be able to fill the form till November 7, 2020. The application fee of GD Constable is Rs. 100 for General and OBC while for SC, ST and women are exempted from paying application fee.

Candidates applying for GD Constable 2020 application form have to fill the basic details in the online application form like name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender etc.
After filling the basic details aspirants need to submit the application form by clicking on the “I Agree” button mentioned on screen.

SSC prescribes the exam pattern of GD constable which comprises three stages of selection. Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Standards Test (PST)/ Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Examination. The Computer Based Test will be of multiple choice type questions from four sections which includes- General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics and English/Hindi. The CBT test will be conducted in English and Hindi.

Applicants who will be selected in CBT exam will be eligible to appear for PST/PET exam. Those who will appear for PST have to qualify the physical standards as prescribed by the commission. While PET stage includes (race) followed by biometric identification & screening of testimonials and thereafter chest and weight measurements by a board.

Candidates who qualify the PET/PST exam will be further invited for medical examination. In this stage of the recruitment process applicants will have to undergo eye checkup, they must not have a knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein and squint in eyes. Candidates who finally qualify this stage will be eligible for the appointment on the basis of the final merit list of SSC GD Constable.
The exam conducting authorities will conduct GD Constable exam at various exam centres in 33 States/UTs.
