Step 3: Enter login credentials (user-name and password)

The exam conducting authority, WBCSC has set some criteria for the aspirants to be considered WB SET qualified. An aspirant must have appeared in both the papers of WB SET. The steps of eligibility criteria are listed below:
Step 1: Only 6% appeared candidates will be considered WB SET qualified
Step 2: The total number of slots to be allocated to different categories will be as per the reservation policy of West Bengal Government
Step 3: Unreserved candidates need to score at least 40% aggregate marks in both WB SET papers and unreserved candidates at least a minimum of 35%
Step 4: The method applied to be declared WB SET qualified in any subject -
No. of qualified candidates in a category x Slots available for that category ÷ Total no of WB SET qualified candidates from that category over all subjects
WB SET is conducted for two papers, Paper I and Paper II. Both the papers are compulsory in nature and are held in two different sessions in pen and paper mode. There are 150 objective type questions in total each carrying 2 marks. Moreover, no negative marks are cut for any wrong answer marked in WB SET.

The cut off of WB SET is determined by the number of candidates applying for a particular subject and the difficulty level associated. The category wise WB SET cut off for each subject is released by the exam conducting authority. Candidates securing sufficiently high marks above the WB SET cut-off are considered qualified. Unreserved candidates need to secure a minimum 40% marks for WB SET. However, reserved candidates need to score a minimum of 35% marks in aggregate to be considered WB SET qualified.

There are two types of cut off for wbset exam . One is category cut off and other is aubject wise cut off. The category wise cut off for gen is 40% and sc/st/phw is 35%. The students who qualify both cut offs are qualified. The factors determining cut off are.
1. Number of vacancies
2. Exam difficulty.
3.Number of candidates appeared.
