Who can take UGC NET 2017?
The UGC NET 2017 November session exam can be taken up by candidates who have Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC. Candidates need to have Postgraduate/Master’s Degree in in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science &Applications, Electronic Science etc. The minimum marks required to become eligible for UGC NET November session 2017 for General Category candidates is 55% while the minimum marks of 50% is required for Other Backward Classes(OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer/Scheduled Caste(SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/ persons with disability(PWD) category candidates.

Nationality – Candidates must be Indian nationals
Junior Research Fellowship: Not more than 28 years. A relaxation up to 5 years for candidates belonging to OBC (Non- creamy layer) SC/ST/PWD categories and to women applicants
Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor
Candidates need to have Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC
Master’s Degree/Post graduation must be in any of the given subjects like Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science &Applications, Electronic Science etc.
General Category candidates need to have 55% in Post-Graduation

CBSE has announced the application notification of UGC NET November session 2017. The application form of CBSE UGC NET 2017 November session begins from August 11, 2017. The candidates fulfilling eligibility criteria can fill online application form of UGC NET November session 2017 before the last date i.e. September 11, 2017. The UGC NET 2017 application form can be filled in online mode only as no other mode of application will be accepted. Before proceeding to fill up the UGC NET Application Form 2017 for November examination, candidates must read instructions carefully to avoid errors in the application form. Basically, the registration will be of 4 step procedure. The first step will be registration for the exam where candidates can fill in the on-line application and obtain the registration number. Upload images of photograph and signature in JPEG format as prescribed dimensions at stage 2. Next stage will be making payment for the exam through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking. The entrance exam of CBSE UGC NET 2017 for November session will be conducted in pen and paper mode in two shifts i.e. morning and forenoon. The admit card of CBSE UGC NET November session 2017 is available from October 17. The candidates appearing for November session of UGC NET 2017 can download their hall ticket by login with their registration number and password. The admit card is an important documents which will have candidate’s detail like their exam roll number, category, photograph, signature, name and address of the allotted exam centre, etc. Without the admit card candidates will not allow of UGC NET November session 2017. The UGC NET Admit Card 2017 for November examination is considered as the hall ticket and candidates without it won't be allowed to appear for the exam. In case, candidates face difficulty in obtaining the admit card of UGC NET November session 2017, they must report the exam conducting authority immediately.
The answer key of CBSE UGC NET 2017 for November session will be released by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in January 2018. The candidates appearing in UGC NET November session 2017 examination to be held on November 5 will be able to download the scanned images of OMR answer sheets and answer keys as and when released by CBSE. The examination authority will be releasing the UGC NET 2017 answer key for each subject separately. Candidates must download UGC NET answer key 2017 of all the papers to know their expected scores. Based on the evaluated marks candidates will be able to figure out their total score and know their probability of qualifying UGC NET 2017.
UGC NET 2017 November session result will be annouced by February/March 2018. The result of UGC NET Noevember session 2017 will be announced only for qualified candidates of national eligibility screening test. Candidates who will score the minimum qualifying marks for UGC NET 2017 of November session will be declared as passed in the exam. Candidates will be able to check their qualifying status for UGC NET 2017 of November session by login through their registered account using their application id/ number, roll number and date of birth. Moreover, as per the earlier official notification, the cut off marksfor UGC NET 2017 has been determined as 40% for general category in paper I & II and 50% in Paper III while OBC/SC/ST category candidates need to secure 35% in paper I & II and 40% in Paper III. For candidates who will pass UGC NET 2017, a merit list will be prepare subject- wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks of all the three papers secured by such candidates. Only top 15% candidates (for each subject and category) as per the merit list will be declared UGC NET qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor only. A separate merit list for the JRF will be prepared from amongst the top 15% candidates UGC NET qualified candidates.
Candidates need to score a minimum marks as prescribed by the examination authority CBSE to qualify the entrance exam. Candidates must secure qualifying marks as determined for their category to pass the UGC NET 2017. The table given below show the UGC NET Cut off Score 2017.
