after i will join an engineering college in 2021, from which year should i start preparing for AFCAT

Abhishek Roy 2nd Jun, 2021

As far as AFCAT is concerned, if youre a serious aspirant, you must be aware of the preparation resources and methods of preparation, the duration and other details of AFCAT as well as have interactions with some of your Seniors who may have cracked AFCAT in Past, in your Third Year. This is basically the Foundation for a Strong AFCAT Preparation  which you may perhaps start in your 4th Year, with full concentration and determination.

can a candidate join AFCAT at 25 ?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 17th Apr, 2021

Hello,

The age limit for Ground duty non-technical branches and ground duty technical branches if 20-26 years. The posts that are under Ground duty non-technical are

  • Accounts branch
  • Administration branch
  • Logistics branch
  • Education branch
  • Meteorology branch

The upper age limit for flying branch is 20-24 years. For Commercial Pilot Licence holders the upper age is relaxed up to 26 years. So if you are considering to join in Flying branch you may not be eligible if your age is 25 years but if you have CPL licence you can appear for AFCAT as the upper age limit is 26 years. So by the given age criteria you can apply for Ground Duty technical and non-technical if your age in between 20-25 years.
