Hello, I am in final year of engineering. I have completed diploma. Am i eligible for AFCAT or CDS ?
Hii There,
Yes, according to AFCAT eligibility criteria for 2023, students in their final year can apply for the exam. They should have achieved a minimum of 60% marks until their last completed year or semester when they submit their application. Additionally, they must provide evidence of completing their graduation by May 30, 2024.
Regarding the CDS exam, it's open to students from any engineering discipline. The CDS exam is held biannually to select candidates for IMA (Indian Military Academy), INA (Indian Naval Academy), AFA (Air Force Academy), and OTA (Officers Training Academy).
I hope this answers your question.
Thanking you
am not an engineering student. am doing a common Bsc degree in PCM subjects.can I take the afcat exam.....
Dear aspirant,
According to your question and taking into consideration that you want to know about the eligibility criteria of the afcat exam and considering you are doing a bsc degree.
I would like to tell you that you have to score a minimum of 60% in your graduation degree to give afcat.
And the other thing is anybody can give afcat exam whether you do bsc or BTech.
If i do betch from matalurgical engineering then can i eligible for all exams like AFCAT,SSB,SSC and etc mostly like defence job exams Airforce and Navy ???????
Hello
The basic qualifications eligibility criteria for all the exam like Afcat ,ssb ,ssc are a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university . And need minimum 60%in the graduation degree.
For air force the eligibility criteria is a engineering degree which you have.
So are eligible for all those exam you have mentioned.
Good Luck.
whether joining indian air force will be in demand in future ? should I choose indian air force or become great engineer like elon musk and i am interested in both ? but I need a valid reason to join armed forces so that I can make an impact in the world and I need to know importance of it in future
Dear Rajkumar,
Thank you for your query. I feel this should be you choice. But I will try to give the advantages of both the Air force and engineering options and you can choose which is beneficial for you to join:

I want to do bsc physics but in college form there is natural science is natural science and bsc same i am confused if i do natural science can I give CDs and AFCAT exam ?
Hello dear,
If you want to do BSc in physics then I want to tell you that BSc physics and Natural science are both different fields. BSc physics is a 3 year programme where you can study about only phsyics. When you do BSc in physics you can dive down into the physics.
But at the other hand if you studied Natural science so it is 2 to 4 year course. In Natural you have to study math, physics, chemistry, biology as well.
But you are eligible to give your CDSE as well as AFCAT exams by studying natural science as well BSc in physics the only thing is at last you can score more than 60 percent in your course. Because 60 percent marks in compulsory in both CDSE and AFCAT.
All the very Best.
