About APPSC Group 1 2023
Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission had declared the APPSC Group 1 prelims result 2023 on April 12, 2024 at psc.ap.gov.in. The APPSC Group 1 2023 Prelims exam was conducted on March 17, 2024. APPSC released the notification of the Group 1 exam for the recruitment of various vacancies in the Government of Andhra Pradesh on December 8, 2023.
APPSC Group 1 exam is held in two stages, preliminary (objective type) and main (written type). The APPSC Group 1 Mains exam will be tentatively held in the month of September. Candidates need to qualify in the preliminary exam to appear for the main examination. The final selection of candidates will be based on two successive stages including written exam and oral test (interview). Candidates should make sure that they are eligible for the APPSC Group 1 recruitment.

APPSC Group 1 Eligibility Criteria: The eligibility criteria of APPSC Group 1 is prescribed by the conducting authority, Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission. Candidates should make sure that they meet the eligibility requirement before applying for the APPSC Group 1 exam.
Age Limit: Candidates should possess minimum 18 years of age and maximum 42 years of age.

APPSC Group 1 Application Procedure: The application form is available online. However, candidates were able to pay the application fee both online and offline. Candidates had to complete the ‘One Time Profile Registration’ to apply for the APPSC Group 1 services. One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) is the common registration process for all recruitment of APPSC, click here to know more about the OTPR here.
One Time Profile Registration (OTPR):
Before starting the One Time Profile Registration, candidates had to turn off the pop-up blocker.
Click on the OTPR link, a new window was displayed on the screen.
Candidates had to fill their basic particular details in the web page like Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Email, Address, Educational Qualification etc.
Before submitting the OTPR form, click on the preview button to check the entered particular details.
Upload the photograph and signature in the required format.
A unique User ID was generated after the final submission of the OTPR form.
Online Application Form Process:
Click on the ‘Online Application Submission’ link for filling the Group 1 service exam.
Then select the ‘Group 1 services notification by using the radio button and click on the ‘continue’ button.
Enter the ‘OTPR ID’ & ‘Password’ and press the ‘Go’ button on the web page.
Fill up the Aadhar number on the space provided in the online application form and proceed to the next step.
Candidates had to provide the required details of personal information and they had to check the photograph the signature.
Click on the ‘Submit’ button to complete the APPSC group 1 online application submission process.
Application Fee and Mode of Payment:
Finally, candidates had to pay the application fee to complete the whole online application process.

SC, ST, BC, PH & Ex-Service Men – Rs.120 (application fee)
Other categories – Rs.250 (processing fee) + Rs.120 (application fee)
Click on the ‘Proceed to Payment’ button to pay the application fee.
Payment Mode: ‘Online’ mode by Net Banking/Credit card/Debit Card.
NOTE: Initial Public Offerings (IPO) and Demand Drafts (DD) were not accepted.
After the payment of application fee, candidates had to fill other details including personal details, qualification details, post preference, zone & district, and examination preference location.
Finally, candidates had to click on the ‘save’ button to generate the receipt of online application form.
Candidates could take the printout of the submitted online application form for future use.

APPSC Group 1 Preliminary Exam Pattern (Screening Test): The preliminary exam includes one section (objective type), the main examination includes five papers (descriptive type) and Oral test in the form of Interview. Candidates who cleared the APPSC group 1 preliminary exam will be called for the main written exam.

APPSC Group 1 Main Exam Pattern
APPSC Group 1 Main Exam Pattern (Written Test): The Main exam will be conducted in offline mode (Conventional/Descriptive). There are totally five papers in the APPSC Group 1 main exam. Each wrong answer will be penalized with 1/3rd of the marks. Candidates who appeared in the APPSC group 1 main exam will be short-listed for the oral test. The final selection will be based on the merit list prepared by combining the main exam and oral test marks.

Candidates who qualified from the preliminary exam can download the APPSC Group 1 Hall Ticket for Main Exam through the APPSC website. Hall Ticket will not be sent by post or any other modes.
