About JK SET 2024
JK SET 2024 - The authorities released the JK SET notification 2024 on the official website at jujkset.in. Candidates can submit the JK SET 2024 application form from June 11 to July 5, 2024 with out late fee, while the last date with late fee is July 9, 2024. The application form correction window will be available from July 13 to 15, 2024. The JK SET 2024 exam is scheduled to be held on October 20, 2024.
The Jammu & Kashmir SET Agency conducts the State Eligibility Test (JK SET exam) to determine the eligibility of candidates who applied for the post of Assistant Professor in Colleges and Universities of Jammu & Kashmir State under various subjects. JK SET 2024 exam consists of three papers, all conducted on a single day in two sessions. The Agency will conduct JK SET in 37 subjects (listed below).

JK SET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (General Category) and 50% marks (Reserved categories) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Sciences, Humanities (including languages) and Social Science are eligible to apply for the JK SET.
The Ph.D degree holders who have qualified Master’s level examination by 19th September, 1992 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in SET.
Candidates with post-graduate diploma/certificate course(s) or foreign degree/diploma should ascertain the equivalence of their course(s) with Master’s degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.
JK SET 2024 Application Process

The application form of JK SET can be filled in online mode only on the official website. Candidates needed to fill the application form, upload their latest passport size photograph and submit it online along with paying the examination fee. The examination fee of JK SET was Rs.1000 for general category candidates, Rs.800 for RBA/ALC, Rs.700 for WUP and Rs.600 for SC/ST/PWD/CGB. Fee could only be paid through online mode using Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking. Candidate were advised to take a printout and keep a copy for future reference.
It is important to note that those candidates who applied under any Reserved Category were required to submit the hard copy of JK SET application form along with self-attested photocopy of reserved category certificate at the SET office, University of Kashmir/ the Jammu Centre Coordinator’s office at University of Jammu. Candidate were also advised to bring the Original Reserved Category Certificate along with him/her for on-spot verification.
