About MPPSC State Services 2024

Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission released the MPPSC notification 2024 on December 30, 2023 on its official website - mppsc.nic.in. As per MPPSC notification, there are 60 vacancies for which the exam is conducted across states. Candidates can fill the application form of MPPSC 2024 from January 19 to February 18, 2024. The MPPSC prelims exam will be conducted on April 28, 2024 in offline mode.

The exam authorities will issue the MPPSC admit card 2024 for prelims in online mode on April 20, 2024. Aspirants who fill the application form of MPPSC 2024 successfully are issued admit card. Only those candidates who will be allowed to appear for the mains exam who qualify MPPSC prelims exam flying colors. The number of candidates who appear for the main exam will be fifteen times more than the number of available vacancies. Successful candidates in mains exam will be invited to appear for last stage of selection process that is interview.

MPPSC State Services 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commision prescribes the eligibility criteria of MPPSC State Service examination. All aspirants need to fulfil the eligibility parameters prior to filling the form of MPPSC exam.

Eligibility Criteria of MPPSC State Service Exam -

  • A candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • Candidates obtain a degree from any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other recognised educational institutions.
  • Candidates who have appeared in their final degree examination, awaiting results will also be eligible to appear in the preliminary examination. However, candidates who will qualify and get shortlisted by the Commission for taking the State Services (main) examination, will be required to produce compulsorily mark sheet/proof of passing the requisite examination along with their application form for the main examination.
  • Aspirants with professional and technical qualifications, which are recognised by the State Government as equivalent to a professional or technical degree, would be eligible to take the examination as well.
  • Age Limit - A candidate must be at least 21 years to appear in the preliminary test but must not have attained the age of 40 years on the first of January, following the date of publication of the advertisement. However, the upper age limit for the permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh has been fixed at 45 years, formulated under certain conditions.
  • Candidates must be in good mental and physical health and free from any serious physical defects.

Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission releases the application form of MPPSC State Service examination on January 19, 2024. The last date to submit the MPPSC application form is February 18, 2024. The application form is available on the official website of MPPSC. All aspirants need to fill the MPPSC State Service exam via online mode. The application form correction window of MPPSC State Service exam from January 22 to February 20, 2024.

How to fill the MPPSC application form through MP Online?

  • Visit the official website
  • Click on the tab 'Citizen Services'.
  • Click on MPPSC under the Application tab
  • After reading the instructions, click on Apply Online.
  • It is a must to read the agreement, select the check-box of 'I Agree' and click on Accept.
  • Duly fill the form, attach the photograph, as mentioned.
  • Click on submit.
  • The application number gets displayed; note the number and click on tab 'Payment', if any modification/correction needs to be made click on 'back'.
  • Select payment mode and click on 'Go.'
  • Payment can be made either by Credit Card (Master or Visa of any Bank) or Online Debit Facility i.e. Net banking or Debit Card (Only of SBI).
  • In case of a credit card, check the details and click on the tab 'Confirm Payment.'
  • Fill the required details and click on 'Pay.'
  • The reference number will be displayed, please note it down for future correspondence.

Application fee - Applicants belonging to the general/open categories need to pay Rs. 500/- and candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories will need to pay Rs. 250/- as MPPSC exam via online mode. Candidates can also choose to visit any designated online kiosk centres which will help in payment of the application fee.

MPPSC State Services Prelims Exam Pattern

The preliminary examination will comprise two papers of objective type (multiple choice questions) and carry a maximum of 450 marks. The detailed exam pattern of MPPSC exam is shown below-

The question papers will be of objective type (multiple choice question) and each question will have four probable answer choices grouped under A, B, C and D of which only one will be the correct answer. The candidate is required to mark in the answer book, only A, B, C or D as selected by test takers to be the correct answer.

All question papers except that of Engineering subjects will be in Hindi and English. Question paper in Engineering subjects will be composed in English language only.

MPPSC State Services Mains Exam Pattern

Only the MPPSC prelims qualified candidates will be permitted to appear in the main examination of MPPSC State Service examination. Unlike the preliminary exam, the main examination is composed of subjective questions. The mode of the MPPSC main exam is offline. Post examination, candidates will need to appear in the interview round which will carry 250 marks. This written examination is divided into two sections (compulsory & optional) and will consist of seven papers of essay type questions as stated below -

MPPSC State Services 2024 Admit Card

MPPSC State Services Prelims Admit Card

Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission will issue the MPPSC State Service exam admit card 2024 in online mode on April 20, 2024. It will be issued to the candidates who have successfully registered for the examination. The MPPSC state service exam admit card has been released in online mode and candidates need to log in to the web account by entering the following information-

  • Application Number
  • Gender
  • Date of Birth (DoB)
  • Captcha (displayed on screen)

The admit card is also known as the State Service prelims exam call letter. All test takers have to carry the MPPSC call letter for appearing in the preliminary examination on the day of the test.

MPPSC State Services Mains Admit Card

MPPSC will issue the admit card of MPPSC State Service exam to candidates who will successfully submit the main exam application form released by Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission for the main examination. MPPSC State Service exam admit card is also known as MPPSC State Service exam call letter. The MPPSC SSE admit card is a mandatory document to be produced on the day of exam; failing to do the same might lead to cancellation of candidature as the candidate will not be allowed to write the test.

Typically, MPPSC releases the answer key of MPPSC State Service Preliminary exam after the exam is conducted. MPPSC answer key is published for the test takers as they get an opportunity to check their answers from the official website of MPPSC. Additionally, they would also be able to calculate their estimated scores.

The result of the preliminary exam grants permission to the qualified candidates to take the main examination.

The MPPSC main examination will evaluate candidates' thorough knowledge over subjects as the question papers are subjective in nature. Post main exam, candidates are asked to take the interview session which comprises 250 marks. The cumulative score of main exam and Interview is considered for selection.

MPPSC will administer the MPPSC State Service exam selection procedure of candidates. The final selection will be executed on the basis of marks obtained in the written examinations; both prelims and main and performance in the personal interview session conducted by MPPSC.

There are 4 paper for General Studies for 3 hours and 300 marks.

Fourth and Fifth paper is of General hindi and Hindi essay of 2 hours and 200 Marks.
