Bihar Public Service Commission conducts Bihar Police SI exam for the recruitment of Sub Inspectors. Candidates between 20 to 30 years of age as on January 1, 2020 holding a graduation degree can apply for Bihar Police SI 2020 exam. Candidates must fill the application form of Bihar Police SI 2020 in online mode along with the payment of the prescribed application fee as per their category.

The exam of Bihar Police SI 2020 is conducted for two phases - prelims and mains. Both the prelims and mains exam of Bihar Police SI 2020 is conducted in offline mode. The preliminary exam of Bihar Police SI 2020 contains 100 questions of 2 marks each. The questions in the prelims exam are asked from general awareness and current affairs. Candidates who score less than 30% in the prelims exam do not qualify the examination. Based on the marks scored, as much as 20 times the candidates of the total vacancy are shortlisted for the mains examination of Bihar Police SI.

The mains exam is conducted for two papers - Paper I and II. Paper I is conducted for General Hindi while paper II is conducted for General Studies, General Sciences, Indian History, Civics, Geography, Maths and Mental Ability. Candidates who qualify in the mains exam of Bihar Police SI have to further appear for the physical test.  The final merit list is prepared by the examination authority on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in the main exam as per their category.

Bihar Police SI Eligibility Criteria 2023 - Age as on January 1, 2023

• General category male candidates must be between 20 to 37 years of age.

• BC and Ext. BC category male candidates must be between 20 to 40 years of age.

• Female candidates belonging to general, backward and extremely backward category must be between 20 to 40 years of age.

• Both male and Female candidates belonging to scheduled caste and scheduled tribe must be between 20 years to 42 years of age.

Bihar Police SI Prelims Exam Pattern

The preliminary exam of Bihar Police SI 2020 will be conducted in offline mode. The exam will contain 100 objective questions of 2 marks each. Candidates will be given 2 hours in order to complete the preliminary exam of Bihar Police SI 2020. The exam will be based on the questions from General Awareness and Current Affairs. For each wrong answer given by the candidates, 0.2 marks will be deducted. No marks will be deducted if the question is left unanswered.

All those candidates who qualify in the prelims exam will be eligible to appear in the mains exam of Bihar Police SI 2020.

Bihar Police SI Mains Exam Pattern

The mains exam of Bihar Police SI will be conducted for only those candidates who will qualify in the prelims examination.  The mains exam of Bihar police SI will be conducted for two papers - paper I and II. Paper I will be based on questions from general Hindi while paper II will contain questions from general studies, general sciences, Indian history, civics, geography, maths and mental ability. Candidates will be allotted 2 hours for each paper. Each question carries 2 marks each while 0.2 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer given by the candidates.

Bihar Police SI Prelims Admit Card

The exam conducting authority will release the admit card of Bihar Police SI 2020 for the preliminary exam in online mode. Candidates can download the admit card of Bihar Police SI using their registration ID and password. Only those candidates will be issued the admit card of Bihar Police SI, who will successfully fill the application form. The admit card of Bihar Police SI will contain the details regarding the candidates and exam like name of the candidates, dates of birth, date and time of examination, and exam centre. Candidates must check all the details mentioned on the admit card of Bihar Police SI 2020. A print out of the prelims admit card must be taken out by the candidates and carry it to the exam centres on the day of examination. Along with the admit card of Bihar Police SI, candidates must also carry one of the prescribed photo identity proofs - aadhaar card, voter ID card, driving license, PAN card passport, Employee ID card, and College/University ID card.

The mains admit card will be issued to only those candidates who will qualify in the preliminary exam of Bihar Police SI 2023. Candidates must download the mains admit card by using their registration number and password. The mains admit card contains candidates name, roll number, dates and time of the mains exam, and exam centre. Candidates must carry Bihar Police mains admit card 2023 to the exam centre on the day of examination along with the prescribed photo ID proofs. It must be kept in mind that no candidates will be allowed to appear  for the exam without the admit card.
