Chattisgarh Public Service Commission releases notification for the vacancies of Assistant Engineer (AE) in the various government departments in the state of Chhattisgarh. Since this is a vacancy based examination, it is not mandatorily conducted every year. The exam is conducted in three stages - Prelims, Mains and Interview. The preliminary exam is first stage in a process which comprises of two other stages. Candidates who qualify the preliminary exam will have to appear for the State Services Exam (Main). Selected candidates will be required to register for the Main exam on the official website within the prescribed time. Candidates qualifying the mains exam will have to appear for the interview.
To be termed eligible for Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission State Engineering Services Exam, a candidate must have done graduation in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical from recognized university.
Age of a candidate (as on January 1 of the year) must be between 21 to 30 years.
Selection of the eligible candidates will be based on through the 2 stages selection process. The first stage is a Written Examination. The written exam will be objective type and MCQ based. There will be two question paper in written examination i.e general study and engineering subject. All qualified candidates in the written exam will be called for Personal interview. Candidates finally selected after the interview will be recruited.

The application process will begin in the first week of November, 2019 with the release of application form of Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission State Engineering Services Exam. The last date to submit the form will be somewhere in the first week of December. The application fee for General candidates is Rs.400 whereas for SC/ST/OBS (NCL) is Rs.300. The exam will be conducted in the last week of February and the result will be declared in the first week of April.
