Get UpdatesState Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) conducts PSTET in offline mode to determine the eligibility of candidates as Teachers in classes 1 to 8. PSTET is conducted for two papers – Paper 1 and 2. Paper 1 is conducted for the primary stage for those who wish to become teachers from class 1 to 5 while paper 2 is conducted for the elementary stage for all those who wish to become teachers in classes 6 to 8. Candidates can also take the test for both papers – paper 1 and 2 if they wish to teach in classes I to VIII. In order to apply for PSTET, candidates must have completed their graduation degree with at least 50% marks. Only those candidates qualify PSTET and secure the category wise overall cut off marks determined by the exam conducting authority.

PSTET Eligibility Criteria
In order to fill the application form of PSTET, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria determined by the exam conducting authority. PSTET eligibility criteria is determined by taking age and educational qualification of the candidates into consideration. The eligibility criteria of PSTET is determined for both the primary stage of teachers and the elementary stage.
PSTET Eligibility Criteria - Age
There is no upper age limit in order to apply for PSTET
For primary stage (for teachers in class 1 to 5)
Candidates must have passed 12th class with minimum 50% and 4 year of elementary education training.
Or
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Or
Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education.
For elementary stage (for teachers in class 6 to 8)
Candidates must be a graduate and have passed/appearing in final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education.
Or
Graduation with not less than 50% marks and passed/appearing in 1st year of B.Ed.
Or
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in 1st year of B.Ed as per NCTE
Or
Must have passed Senior Secondary with not less than 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of 4 years B.El.Ed.
Or
Senior Secondary with at least 50% and passed/appearing in the final year of 4 years B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
Or
Must hold a Graduation Degree with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 1st year of B.Ed. (Special Education)

PSTET Application Form
PSTET application form can be filled by the candidates in online mode. Before filling the application form of PSTET, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria. PSTET application form must be filled along with the payment of the prescribed application fees. The exam conducting authority does not accept any application form without the payment of the application fee.

SCERT releases the exam pattern of PSTET. Candidates are suggested to go through the exam pattern of PSTET to get information about the mode of the exam, time duration, marks distribution, total questions, marking scheme, etc. Along with the exam pattern, candidates must also refer to the PSTET syllabus so that they can start preparing for the exam.

PSTET Exam Pattern - Paper II
Paper II of PSTET will be held in offline mode.
Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be asked.
There will be 150 questions of 1 mark each.
2 hours 30 minutes will be allotted for paper II of PSTET 2023.
Marking Scheme: A total of 150 questions of 1 marks each will be asked in both paper I and II. No marks will be deducted for any wrong response given by the candidates.
State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) releases the admit card of PSTET in online mode. All the eligible candidates who fill the application form successfully can download PSTET admit card in online mode.
PSTET admit card are issued for both papers I and II. Candidates can download the admit card of PSTET by using their application number and date of birth. PSTET admit card has details like the candidate’s name, date and time of exam, venue etc.
It is important for the candidates to carry the admit card of PSTET to the exam centre along with one of the prescribed ID proofs - aadhaar card, voter card, PAN card, passport, and driving license. It must be kept in mind that no candidate is allowed to appear for the exam without the admit card.

The official answer key of PSTET is released by the examination authority after the exam is held. Candidates can go through PSTET answer key to check all the correct answers for the exam conducted. By referring to the PSTET answer key, candidates will be able to calculate their expected marks and predict their probability to qualify the exam. The answer key of PSTET are released for both papers – paper I and II for all sets of question booklet given to the candidates on the examination day.
State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) announces PSTET result. The examination authority declares the result of PSTET in online mode. The result of PSTET is released in PDF format for both papers – Paper I and II.
The result of PSTET includes the application number, roll number, category, name, and marks obtained by the qualified candidates. PSTET result is declared on the basis of category wise cut off marks obtained by the candidates in the examination.
Along with the declaration of result, the exam conducting authority also releases the category-wise cutoff marks for PSTET. Cut off of PSTET is the minimum marks that the candidates must score to qualify the examination.
The result of PSTET are based on the cut off marks scored by the candidates. Candidates must score equal to or more than the cut off marks to be determined by the examination authority according to their category.
There are three factors which are taken into consideration while determining the cut off of PSTET . These factors are:

Hey,
The examination is almost here, so now you cannot do any corrections for sure. So contact the helpdesk or visit the nearest exam centre if you know any. Tell them about your problem. Also, take your birth certificate or any other proof with you when you visit them.
Though, your application may also get rejected since you had a chance to make corrections during correction window that opened in November. So now, just try to contact the helpdesk and see if it helps.
