Gujarat Public Service Commission released the GES Class 1 and Class 2 final result 2022 exam on April 5, 2024 at gpsc.gujarat.gov.in. The GES Class 1 and Class 2 2022 personal interview was conducted from March 19 - 30, 2024. The provisional mains result 2022 for GES class 1 and class 2 exam was released on March 6, 2024 in online mode.
GPSC conducts the GPSC GES class I and II exam. Candidates with a graduation degree in civil engineering or technology from any of the universities under the Central or a State Act in India and must be between 20 to 35 years of age can apply for the exam. GPSC GES class 1 and class 2 exam will be held in three stages - 1) Prelim exam 2) Main exam and 3) Interview. GPSC GES Prelims exam will weigh 500 marks. This will be an objective type, multiple choice based paper. GES Main exam will weigh 800 marks and will be a written-type exam. Interview for GPSC GES will carry a weightage of 100 marks.

The selection process for GPSC GES will be based on three stages of exams. The first stage will be the Prelims examination which will weigh 500 marks. This exam will test the aspirants in two papers consisting of questions from general studies, engineering aptitude and basics of Civil Engineering. Students who clear this stage will move on to the second stage of the exam which is the Main examination. There will be five papers in this stage and questions will be asked from English & Gujarati language and advanced Civil Engineering. The rigorous GPSC GES Main exam will weigh 800 marks. Students who qualify for both stages will be asked to appear in the Interview. The Interview round will weigh 100 marks and will be the final round of GPSC GES class 1 and 2 2022.
