Get UpdatesCGPSC conducts the State Service exam for candidates who are graduates (in any stream) from a recognized university and have Indian nationality. The age limit of the candidates must be 21-30 years of age. Candidates had to apply online for the application form of CGPSC. The selection of the candidates for CGPSC is done on the basis of pre-exam or screening test and mains exam. Based on the candidates' performance in the pre-exam, candidates will be called for CGPSC 2023 Mains. Candidates need to appear in the same exam centre allotted on the admit card. However, any changes regarding the same will not be entertained. Candidates must note that the pre-exam acts as a screening test for CGPSC Mains.

CGPSC eligibility criteria states that candidates should be Indian citizens as well as graduates (from any stream) of any university recognised by UGC Act 1956 (Section 3). Candidates must be physically and mentally fit. The age limit is 21- 29 years. Certain relaxation in terms of upper age limit is as follows:

Candidates can fill the CGPSC application form from December 1, 2023, onwards. They will fill and submit the application form by December 30, 2023. The application process was completely online and no physical submission of the CGPSC 2023 application form is accepted.
Candidates shortlisted for mains exam will have to fill up the mains application form in online mode. The application form of CGPSC mains exam is released after the declaration of prelims result. To fill CGPSC application form, candidates have to follow these steps:

The CGPSC pre-exam includes two papers, both of 200 marks each. Each paper of CGPSC was conducted offline for a duration of 2 hours wherein candidates had to answer 100 MCQs. Every question had 5 choices. Candidates are awarded 2 marks for every correct answer whereas every incorrect answer was deducted 1/3 mark.
The first paper is divided into two parts- General Studies and General Knowledge of Chhattisgarh. The second paper is an Aptitude Test.
As per the exam pattern of mains exam, there will be seven papers. Candidates will be given three hours to finish each paper. The exam will be conducted for a total of 1400 marks. Check below the pattern for mains exam

The exam conducting body released the admit card of CGPSC in online mode. Candidates can download their admit card by using the required login credentials - user ID and password in the admit card login window. Only those candidates who have successfully filled in and submitted the application form can download the prelims CGPSC admit card. Along with the admit card candidates are also required to take any one prescribed photo ID proofs to the exam centre.
Candidates qualifying in the prelims exam as well as have successfully registered for mains exam will only be able to download the admit card for CGPSC mains exam. To download the admit card, candidates will have to follow these steps:

The answer key of CGPSC contains all the correct answers to the questions asked in the exam. With the help of the answer key, candidates will be able to calculate their probable scores based on the number of correct and incorrect answers. Candidates can download the answer key pdf by following these steps:
CGPSC result for prelims exam has been declared in the form of pdf. The result of CGPSC contains the roll number of all the qualifying candidates for the next stage of the selection procedure. Candidates are required to obtain the minimum qualifying marks as decided by the exam conducting body. Also, the marks obtained in prelims is not added for the preparation of final merit list. To check the result follow the steps given below:
CGPSC Result is declared in online mode in the form of pdf. The result pdf reflects the roll numbers of all the candidates qualified for the next stage. Further, the candidates, who will qualify the Mains exam, will have to appear in the Interview. Candidates 3 times the number of vacancies will be selected for the interview. After the interview, the final merit list is prepared on the basis of the marks of mains exam and interview.
CGPSC cut off is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates will have to secure to qualify each stage of examination and become eligible for appearing in the next round of selection process. The cutoff od CGPSC is based on the following factors - number of vacancies, the difficulty level of the exam and number of test takers.
