About Manipur CSCCE 2019

Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) has released notification for Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination 2019. As many as 70 vacancies will be filled through this examination. According to the eligibility criteria, any graduate candidates between 21 to 38 years can apply for the exam. Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive examination comprises three-stage selection process – Preliminary, Mains and Interview. The exam is conducted to select candidates for various administrative positions including Manipur Civil Service Grade-II officers, Sub-Deputy Collector, Election Officer, Manipur Secretariat Service/Section Officer, etc.

Manipur CSCCE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive Exam eligibility criteria is prescribed by the examination authority. The eligibility criteria provide details regarding age and educational qualification which candidates need to fulfil inorder to be eligible for the exam. Manipur Civil Services eligibility criteria are given below. 

Age: Candidates should be between 21 to 38 years. SC/ST category candidates have 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit,  3 years for OBC and 10 years for Differently Abled Persons (DAP).

Educational Qualification: Any graduate candidates can apply for the exam. Candidates need to submit the proof of their eligibility along with the application form of mains exam.  

Candidates with technical and professional qualifications recognised by the Government as equivalent to the technical and professional degree are also eligible to apply for the exam. 

Candidates who have passed MBBS or any other Medical Examination but have not completed their Internship by the time of their application Combined Competitive (Main) Examination, will be provisionally admitted to the Exam.

Number of Attempts: Candidates belonging to General Category can appear for the exam 6 times. The number of attempts for OBC candidates is 9. There is no capping in the number of attempts for SC/ST category candidates.

Manipur CSCCE Preliminary Exam Exam Pattern

The Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive Exam is conducted to shortlist candidates for the main exam. As per the exam pattern, this test will have questions related to General Studies carrying objective (Multiple Choice Questions). Candidates would need to select the correct answer from the options given in the question paper. 

The total marks of the exam will be 300 and each question in the exam will carry 3 marks. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours and the medium of the exam will be English Language.

Manipur CSCCE Main Exam Exam Pattern

  • The written examination will consist of 8 conventional essay type papers.
  • Paper A which is English is qualifying in nature
  • Marks obtained in all the compulsory papers (Paper-I to Paper-VII) will be considered for merit.
  • Candidates can choose any one of the optional subjects from the list of subjects.
  • The paper on English (Paper A) will be of Class 10 level
  • Each Paper will be of three hours.
  • Candidates will have to answer all the questions in English. Those who have opted for Manipuri and Hindi in optional paper can write the exam in the respective languages. 
  • The mains exam carries 1750 Marks.
  • Essay, General Studies and optional subjects of candidates will be evaluated only if they secure 40% in English.
  • The Personality Test carries 275 marks

Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive exam admit card is available online for candidates who have successfully submitted the application form. To download the Manipur PSC Civil Services admit card, candidates have to select the post, enter name and date of birth. The admit card carries information regarding candidates as well exam. Candidates need to carry their Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive exam admit card to the examination centre along with one photo identity proof.

Manipur Civil Services admit card for mains exam will be issued to candidates who will qualify the preliminary exam. The admit card will be issued in online mode. Candidates qualifying the mains exam will be issued Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive admit card for Interview.

Manipur CSCCE Preliminary Exam Answer Key

The answer key of Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive exam for Prelims will be available for all sets (A, B, C, D) of General Studies papers. Using Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive exam answer key, candidates can check the correct answers of questions asked in the exam. Candidates having a doubt with regard to the answers in the answer key can raise objections within the dates prescribed by Manipur Public Service Commission. Candidates need to submit their objections through email only. The objections will be reviewed by the subject matter experts. If the objections raised by candidates are found to be correct, the examination authority will revise the answer key and publish the final answer key. Candidates will be awarded full marks for invalid questions. The result will be prepared based on the final answer key.

Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive exam result will be announced online. The result PDF will contain the roll numbers of qualified candidates. On the basis of Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive exam result of the preliminary exam, candidates will be selected for the mains exam. The merit list for Manipur Civil Services mains exam will be determined based on the minimum qualifying marks of 33% in General Studies Paper 2 and total qualifying marks of General Studies Paper 1. The number of candidates to be selected for the mains examination will be 12 to 13 times the number of vacancies. Approximately, 840 to 910 candidates will be selected for the mains exam. The preliminary exam serves as a screening test for the mains exam. The marks obtained in the preliminary examination by candidates will not be considered for the final merit list. 

Manipur CSCCE Main Exam Result

Manipur Civil Services result for mains exam will be available online in PDF format. The result will display the roll numbers of qualified candidates for Interview. The marks obtained in the mains exam will be counted for final merit list. The number of candidates to be selected for the interview will be twice the number of vacancies. Only those candidates who will secure qualifying marks in the mains exam will be called for the interview.

The cutoff of Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive exam is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to secure to qualify the exam and become eligible for next round of selection process. Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive exam cutoff will be released along with the result. Based on the cutoff marks, candidates will be selected for the mains exam. The cutoff will be calculated out of the total marks which is 400.  In 2016, Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive exam cutoff for UR, OBC, SC was 171 while it was 168 for ST. The cutoff for Loco-Ortho (DAF) was 132.

The cutoff of Manipur Civil Services for mains exam will be announced after completion of final selection process. Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive exam cutoff will be calculated out of 1750 Marks. Based on the cutoff, candidates will be selected for Interview.
