Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission announced the TNPSC Horticultural Officer 2023 results on May 22, 2024 at tnpsc.gov.in. The TNPSC horticulture assistant officer oral test 2023 was conducted on May 21 and 22, 2024 and the written exam was conducted on My 20 and 21, 2023. The commission also released a tentative TNPSC horticulture officer 2023 answer key on May 29, 2023 which is about a week after the written examination.

The eligibility criteria of TNPSC horticulture officer recruitment has been prescribed by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission along with the notification. TNPSC horticulture officer recruitment eligibility criteria 2023 has been provided below:
Age limit: Candidates should be below 30 years of age. However, candidates with postgraduate degree or PhD in Horticulture will be provided relaxation of 2 years.
Educational qualification: Candidates must hold master’s degree in Horticulture.
Physical fitness: Candidates should be physically fit as per the criteria prescribed for executive post and must possess Standard III vision. Candidates with colour blindness will be disqualified.
Language: Candidates should also have adequate knowledge in Tamil.
The application form of Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission horticultural officer is released by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission along with the notification. TNPSC horticulture officer recruitment application form 2023 is available in the online mode. To successfully apply for the exam, candidates will first need to register for the exam followed by filling of details in ‘applicant’s dashboard’. After all details have been filled, candidates will need to upload scanned images of photographs, signature and specified documents. After checking all information furnished by candidates are correct, they can proceed to submit the application form. After submission, candidates should save and print a copy of the application form The registration fee for the exam is Rs. 150 while candidates will also need to pay Rs. 200 as examination fee for the written exam. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD categories will be provided complete concession of both registration and examination fee. The examination fee can be paid online using net banking, credit/ debit card or offline at any branch of SBI/ Indian Bank. The registration fee is a one-time registration process and candidates having already paid the fee within five years are not required to pay the same.

The exam pattern of TNPSC horticultural officer has been provided by TNPSC along with the notification. As per the exam pattern, Paper 1 will comprise objective type questions. Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released the exam pattern of Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Horticultural Officer for Paper 2. In this paper, questions pertaining to General Studies. The difficulty level of questions asked in Paper 2 (General Studies) will be identical to the standard of graduation degree while the questions asked in Aptitude and Mental Ability will be similar to that of Class 10 level. TNPSC will issue the admit card of horticulture officer in the online mode. Candidates having successfully applied for the exam will be able to download the admit card using application number/ login ID and date of birth. The Commission will issue the admit card separately for both stages of the exam - written exam and interview. The admit card will be released few days prior to the conduct of each stage of the exam. After downloading the admit card, candidates must carefully scrutinize all information printed on it. In case of discrepancies, candidates must inform the conducting body regarding the same.
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) will release the provisional answer key for both the papers of the written test within a few days after the completion of the exam. Candidates will be able to raise objections in the provisional answer key. After the Commission has scrutinised the objections raised by the candidates, a final answer key will be declared. The answers provided in the final answer key will be definitive. TNPSC horticulture officer answer key contains the correct answers to all questions asked in the exam. Based on the answers provided in the answer key, candidates will be able to calculate their probable score in the exam.
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) will release the result of Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission horticultural officer in the online mode. The Commission will release the result of the exam in two stages - written exam and final result. TNPSC horticulture officer result 2023 for the written exam will be declared based on marks secured by candidates in Paper 1 and 2 of the exam. On the basis of marks secured in the written exam, candidates will be shortlisted to appear for interview round. After interview, the Commission will announce the final result of TNPSC horticultural officer based on the aggregate marks in written exam and interview.
The cut off of TNPSC horticultural officer will be determined by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission. TNPSC will prepare cut off list after each stage of the exam to qualify candidates for subsequent stages of the exam. The Commission will release TNPSC horticulture officer cut off 2023 in two stages - written exam and interview. Based on the cutoff for written exam, candidates will be selected for Interview. After the conduct of the interview, TNPSC will release the final cutoff based on which candidates will be appointed for the post of horticultural officer.
