UPSC declares Civil Services 2015 final results; Delhi girl Tina Dabi is AIR 1
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final result of UPSC Civil Services 2015 on May 10. Tina Dabi from Delhi has topped the list of the AIRs, followed by Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan from Kashmir as AIR 2 and Jasmeet Singh Sandhu from Delhi at third rank in the coveted exam.
The UPSC has released the roll number wise list of successful candidates in a PDF. A total of 1078 candidates have been recommended by the UPSC for appointment as Civil Servants across India.
Earlier, the Commission announced the UPSC Civil Services 2015 Mains Result on February 20, 2016 for the candidates who qualified for the personality development and interview phase.
As many as 2797 candidates were shortlisted for the interview round from around 17000 candidates, who appeared in the Civil Services Main exam.
Earlier, as many as 17000 candidates qualified for Mains out of 4.5 lakh candidates who appeared in the preliminary exam.
UPSC is conducting the selection process to fill in 1129 vacancies distributed among 25 different posts of Civil Services.
