UPSC Civil Services 2014 Prelims exam or CSAT has been scheduled to be held on August 24, 2014.
The Civil Services 2014 Call Letter will be available online for downloading till August 24, and will not be sent to any candidate by any other way. The candidate without their Civil Services 2014 Call Letter will not be allowed in the respective examination centre in any case.
UPSC made available Application Forms for Civil Services CSAT 2014 on May 31. According to its Important Dates, the last date for receipt of application was June 30. Its Eligibility Criteria says candidate must be a citizen of India, and must hold a degree of any recognized University or an equivalent qualification. He/she should be aged between 21 years to 32 years as on August 1, 2014.
Under CSAT 2014 Exam Pattern, the exam will be a 4-hour Objective Type paper divided into two papers, each of two hours. Each question paper will carry maximum 200 marks. Question papers will cover topics from General Awareness, English Language, Numerical Aptitude, Reasoning, etc.
As per CSAT 2014 Selection process, the candidates who qualify the Prelims will be called for Mains round which includes written exam and personality test. Those who qualify this round will be appointed as Civil Servants.
The Result of CSAT 2014 or Prelims is expected to be declared in September/October 2014.
The exam will be conducted for total of 1291 vacancies. Out of the total vacancies, 26 vacancies are reserved for Physically Handicapped Category. The 26 reserved seats are further divided as following- 12 vacancies for LDCP, 2 Vacancies for B/LV and 12 Vacancies for HI.
