The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has conducted UGC NET 2016 on July 10 for the eligible candidates, who registered for selection process of Eligibility for Assistant Professor only Or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor. Generally, the national level National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted twice a year – June/July and December.There were 3 sessions, including 3 papers – Paper I, Paper II and Paper III – with respective duration of 1¼ Hours, 1¼ Hours and 2½ Hours. Paper I, Paper II and Paper III carried 100, 100 and 150 marks respectively. As many as 60 questions (50 questions to be attempted) were asked in Paper I, 50 (all questions compulsory) in Paper II and 75 (all questions compulsory) in Paper III. Each question carries 2 marks.
According to the University Grants Commission (UGC) NET 2016 selection procedure 2016, the award of JRF and Eligibility for Assistant Professor both OR Eligibility for Assistant Professor only depends on the UGC NET 2016 Result. However, the candidates qualifying exclusively for Assistant Professor are considered for the JRF award.
