NEW DELHI: Staff Selection Commission has postponed the review medical examination for SSC GD Constable due to COVID-19 outbreak. The medical exam was scheduled to be conducted from March 24 to April 30, 2020. Candidates are advised to check the official website of SSC regularly for further details.

SSC GD Constable examination was conducted from February 11 to March 11, 2019 in online mode across the country. The result of SSC GD constable for online exam was released on June 20, 2019 in online mode. A total of 52,20,335 candidates had registered for the examination, while 30,41,284 had appeared for the online test.


World Health Organization has also announced outbreak of COVID-19 as pandemic across the world. The Government of India also issued advisory to all citizens to keep away from crowded laces and to stay safe. Majority of schools and colleges are shut down in the country. Impact can be seen on competitive exam also many authorities has postponed the exams due to Coronavirus.

SSC General Duty Constable is conducted for the recruitment of candidates in CISF, BSF, ITBP, CRPF, SSF, NIA and Rifleman in Assam Rifles. Last year Staff Selection Commission has announced a total of 58373 vacancies for SSC GD Constable, out of which 50066 vacancies are for male while 8307 for female.
