The State Bank of India (SBI) has invited applications under SBI PO 2016 recruitment drive to fill as many as 2,428 vacancies, including 60 PwD and 168 backlog vacancies in their Probationary Officers’ cadre across India. The application process for the same has been started on May 4 and the last date of form filling up is May 24, 2016.Out of the total 2,200 announced positions under SBI PO 2016, excluding PwD (60) and backlog vacancies (168), a total of 1,028 vacancies are for General category candidates, while 351 for SC, 231 for ST and 590 vacancies are for OBC categories. Besides, of 60 PwD vacancies, 20 are for OH, 20 for VI and 20 for HI.
The shortlisting of the candidates will be made through various stages of selection process - preliminary exam, main exam, group discussion & interview phases. The preliminary exam for SBI PO 2016 is scheduled to be held on July 2, 3, 9 and 10, 2016 and main exam on July 31, 2016. More than 20 lakh candidates are expected to register for the SBI PO recruitment drive.
