The State Bank of India (SBI) has invited applications under SBI Clerk 2016 recruitment drive to fill a total of 19575 vacancies in their clerical cadre across India. The application process for the same has been started on April 5 and the last date of form filling up is April 25, 2016.The recruitments through the process will be made under three categories to fill up the vacant posts in SBI clerical cadre – (1) Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales), (2) Junior Agricultural Associates and (3) Special Recruitment Drive for Tura (Meghalaya) and Kashmir Valley & Ladakh.
Out of the total vacancies, 7282 have been announced for General candidates, while other vacancies will be filled through the selection of SC, ST and OBC category candidates.
The selection of the candidates will be made through various stages of selection process - preliminary exam, main exam, test of official and / or local language and interview (subject to the Government of India approval). The preliminary exam for SBI Clerk 2016 is set to be held tentatively in May / June, 2016 and main exam in June / July, 2016.
Over 30 lakh candidates are expected to register for the SBI Clerk recruitment drive. Highest number of vacancies has been announced for the States of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

Right now only overall cutoff of SBI mains 2019 are not released on the official sites.
But if we analyse the previous years cutoff marks of SB mains for ex servicemen then it is 86.25 out of 200 marks.
While, this year the overall sbi mains 2019 cutoff for UP candidates if is expected to be around 80-90.
For more details and exact cutoff we still have to wait for the release of results.
See marks varies each year, the cutoffs depend on various factors like number of candidates appearing, paper level, etc. So one thing that you can rely on is the ranks. I'll give you a brief idea about the ranks for colleges in Odisha for sc category. One of the best colleges Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar had cutoff rank 373175 for sc category.
College of Engineering and Technology Bhubaneshwar had cutoff rank 349747 for Electronics Engineering, 277610 for Electrical Engineering, 207393 for Chemical Engineering, 458685 for Information Technology.
So prepare well for the exams and give your best and once the exams are over, then think about where you stand and the options you have.

To give you a gist, the merit list after each round is prepared on the Category you have selected while filling in the application form. There is a statement that says that SBI cannot assume any responsibility of the mistakes in the application form and submission of the application forms after the last date. Now if you select your Category as General during Mains and you qualify under General Category, you will be given a placement under the General Category.

The first and foremost thing required in banking exam is speed and precision.
