SBI Clerk 2018 mains examination has begun today, on August 5. The SBI Clerk 2018 mains exam is being conducted in online mode at various centres across the country. Candidates who had qualified the SBI Clerk Prelims exam held on 23, 24 and 30 are only allowed to appear in the mains exam. Around 83,010 candidates are expected to appear for the SBI Clerk 2018 mains exam.
Candidates had to carry one identity card such as voter ID, Pan Card, Passport, Aadhar Card, Driving License, Bank Passbook along with the admit card to prove their candidature. The SBI Clerk 2018 mains admit card can be downloaded from July 24 to August 4, 2018, in online mode by entering registration number and password.
As per the SBI Clerk exam pattern, the question paper of mains exam carries questions from General English, General Financial Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The exam is conducted for a total of 200 marks. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted and 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer. Candidates have a total of 2 hours and 40 minutes to complete 190 multiple choice questions in the mains exam. Each section is allotted different timings.
The SBI Clerk 2018 mains exam is the second and last stage of the SBI Clerk selection process. The result of SBI Clerk 2018 mains exam is expected to be announced tentatively in the third week of August. Candidates who will secure sectional and overall cut off score in mains exam will be selected for the post of Junior Associate. The final selection will be based on candidate’s performance in mains examination.
SBI Clerk 2018 is a computer-based test for the appointment of 9,633 Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) in clerical cadre post for various categories at different SBI branches all over India. The fresh recruitment of Junior Associates is initially done on a probation basis for a period of minimum six months.
