SBI Clerk 2014 – The computer-based SBI Clerk 2014 Exam begins on July 19, with lakhs of candidates appearing in the written exam conducted by State Bank of India (SBI) to fill up 5,092 vacancies in the clerical cadre in its branches across the country.
SBI released SBI Clerk 2014 Admit Card online on July 9 for the objective-type exam to be held in a 42-day window beginning on July 19.
Last year, over 30 lakh candidates reportedly applied for the recruitment through a similar process.

The Selection Process also includes Personal Interview, which will be held after the result of the written exams is declared. The candidates, who qualify SBI Clerk 2014 Written Exam, will be called for interview round.
According to the Paper Pattern, there will be an objective-type test with duration of 2 hours 15 minutes, carrying a total of 200 marks. The SBI Clerk 2014 Online Exam will be divided into five sections – General Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and Marketing Aptitude/Computer Knowledge, with each section carrying 40 marks.
India’s largest bank, with over 13,000 branches across the country, has announced a total of 5092 clerical vacancies in its branches across the country. Of the total vacancies, 2690 vacancies are for General category candidates, while 760 vacancies are reserved for SC, 463 for ST and 1179 for OBC categories. Top three states allotted with highest vacancies are Gujarat, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.
The bank had announced Important Dates for application for the post on May 26, 2014. The application process started on May 26 and continued till June 14.
The candidate, aged between 20 years and 28 years as on May 01, 2014, and having a Graduation level Degree from a recognized university, were eligible to apply for the post.
SBI Clerk 2014 Result is expected to be declared in October 2014, after the bank decides the passing marks for the test on the basis of performance of all the candidates.

Yes, you can appear for SBI PO exam as well if you get selected as clerk. What you have to do first is to take permission from the bank and resign from the post of clerk. Also, you can appear for higher post in any bank other than SBI, the only thing required id to get permission from the bank. Do not forget to inform the bank in advance before applying for the vacancy.
