SBI Clerk 2014 Application Form - Online registration of SBI Clerk 2014 Application Form began on May 26, 2014. The exam conducting authority State Bank of India has notified that online submission of the application forms will close on June 14, 2014.

According to SBI notification, candidates applying online must necessarily have a valid email ID and the same should be active till the declaration of result. Besides, registered candidates have to pay applicable application fee through payment gateways or through challan.

After 3-4 days of submitting of application fee, candidates are advised to take a printout of their online application. To solve the technical problems related to registration process, SBI has notified candidates to contact “registration helpdesk” through email at sbiclk14@ibpsorg.org.

As many as 5092 vacancies are announced by SBI for recruitment of assistants in clerical cadre at State Bank of India. Out of which, 2690 vacancies are for General candidates, while 760 for SC, 463 for ST and 1179 vacancies are for OBC categories. Top three states allotted with highest vacancies are Gujarat, followed by Karnataka, and then Madhya Pradesh.

The recruitment examination will be conducted tentatively in July/August in computer based test format. The time duration of exam will be 2 hours 15 minutes and will be divided in five sections: General Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Marketing Aptitude / Computer Knowledge. Each section carries 40 marks.

 

Selected candidates on the basis of their marks and performance personal interview will be offered the assistant clerk designation.

what will be expected cutoff for ex serviceman of sbi clerk mains 2019 in UP. What was last year also for esm

Hi dear,

Right now only overall cutoff of SBI mains 2019 are not released on the official sites.

But if we analyse the previous years cutoff marks of SB mains for ex servicemen then it is 86.25 out of 200 marks.

While, this year the overall sbi mains 2019 cutoff for UP candidates if is expected to be around 80-90.

For more details and exact cutoff we still have to wait for the release of results.

See marks varies each year, the cutoffs depend on various factors like number of candidates appearing, paper level, etc. So one thing that you can rely on is the ranks. I'll give you a brief idea about the ranks for colleges in Odisha for sc category. One of the best colleges Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar had cutoff rank 373175 for sc category.

College of Engineering and Technology Bhubaneshwar had cutoff rank  349747 for Electronics Engineering, 277610 for Electrical Engineering, 207393 for Chemical Engineering, 458685 for Information Technology.

So prepare well for the exams and give your best and once the exams are over, then think about where you stand and the options you have.

i applied sbi clerk as ews category but now i realized that i am not under ews i qualify prelims in general cut off if i qualify mains in gen will they consider me as general without ews certificate and will i get the job as general

To give you a gist, the merit list after each round is prepared on the Category you have selected while filling in the application form. There is a statement that says that SBI cannot assume any responsibility of the mistakes in the application form and submission of the application forms after the last date. Now if you select your Category as General during Mains and you qualify under General Category, you will be given a placement under the General Category.

How to prepare for SBI clerk jobs

Exam for SBI Clerk is divided into three stages-

Prelims of 1 hour duration with following subjects-

  1. English
  2. Quant
  3. Reasoning


Mains is of 2 hour and 40 min duration with following subject-

  1. General/Financial Awareness
  2. General English
  3. Quantitative Aptitude
  4. Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude


Last one is assessment  of Official/Local Language.


The first and foremost thing required in banking exam is speed and precision.

To follow the first step, you need to practice a lot, solve as many mock papers as you can, along with test series. At the same time time, do not forget to evaluate your performance. This will give you a fair idea about strength and weakness.

The more papers you solve, more grasp you'll have on that subject, this will increase your ability to solve any type of questions that come in exams.

For General Awareness/ Financial Awareness, you have to read a newspaper daily with emphasis on The Editorial part, you can read The Hindu, The Economic Times, The Indian Express. You'll have to well updated with current affairs more so business/finance section regarding this.Newspaper will also help in your English.Do not skip this step at all, as in exams in the recent trends, Editorial parts are coming in either for RC, or some other section.
